I finally dropped the hammer on a Leaf SV today at Fontana Nissan.
$3000 down and $279/month including tax.

Any suggestions on the best 220v charger to obtain?

I have already ordered the EVSE upgrade unit but was looking for a wall mount option also.

You're looking for an EVSE. The charger is under the hood, part of the PDM stack. See http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14728&p=332668#p332668" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Maybe your dealer apply for http://evsolutions.avinc.com/products/cec/eligibility_criteria" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for you. Call them pronto!

Despite what it says (and the count being 0), they still might be able to apply for you.

You might find my saga re: the CEC free EVSEs and install below helpful:

It would appear on that site once they run out of units for the month they are out until the first Tuesday of the following month. Since tomorrow will be my buy date it looks like that door is closed for me.

However I read the other posts that indicate people got approved well after 0 was showing on the web site and at the end of the month. I am curious what action I should take. I can postpone the deal and risk a problem with car availability and lease rate changes or go for it and have them turn in the application in hopes that it will go through even though the web site says 0 are available.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Congrats.

On the EVSE, if you don't qualify for the freebie (and I take it that Fontana Nissan is not having one of their "free EVSE" specials at this time) a highly recommended unit is the Clipper Creek LCS-25. It can only supply 20 amps and thus won't charge your Leaf at full speed, but if you are like most of us and charge while you're sleeping, it doesn't matter.
