Is There Any Way to Adjust Nav from Always Pointing Up??

I saw where on the split screen you can have one screen not always orient upward. Is there a way to do that so that North only points up? Thanks

Menu -> Settings -> Navigation -> Other -> North Up

The compass icon only worked from the split screen. I've tried the menu route previously without success. I can't edit the orientation.

For those who are interested, North orientation is only available for single screen in 2-D mode.
