What are you able to say about the hail stone size/weight that caused this damage? What about typical damage to roofs in your neighborhood?

This is result of May 29 hail, size up to baseball. Leaf survived good comparing to trucks and SUV, which also had broken windows and some sunroofs. This is not my Leaf, mine was in garage. They estimated damage to be in the range few hundreds mln. Last year was 600 mln, this one still to early to say. In my area biggest hail was around golf size so there will be no roof change I believe.

My condolences for your damage. That is shocking to see, particularly the dents on the side of the car. Was the other side of the car untouched, or do I really see big dents on both sides?

Sorry about the damage. Mine was damaged recently with hail also, but nearly as bad as yours. I got mine fixed in 2 days and can't ever tell it was damaged.

Sorry to see that happen to a LEAF...

Weather news is now important part of my daily routine (National Weather Center is 30 miles from me). Because we carpool my friend is nice and I usually do not drive when weather is not good for Leaf. No damage to my carpooling friend car too, that happened around 9 pm and I told him to put his car in garage. Previously he did not listen and tree flatten roof on his car last fall. Unfortunately some people do not have place or not able to hide car in case of nasty weather and that is what happen but it will be fixed.

Someone should make textured wraps for cars. It sounds like a sharkskin texture would be good.

The fabric contained tiny V-shaped ridges resembling dermal denticles, microscopic structures that decrease drag and turbulence around a shark's body.
