Nubo, you nailed it! I was just going to point out how, in the '70s, I believed that fuel injection was too complicated and expensive to ever be accepted. Try to find a carburetor today. So it has gone with the hybrids. While I don't think EV's will ever be universally applicable, I think eventually the only other choice will be a hybrid. The technology is just too compelling.

In an odd sense, the same thing went down with Tesla and the 7000 laptop batteries. It was obvious to me that this was too complicated to ever be practical. Look at 'em now!
