MAP update in 2021 SL plus

Does anyone know how to update the maps? I tried via Wifi and it told me that my current installed map 11980_7_9 was the latest available, to the best of my knowledge, that is what came with the car.

Any ideas?

Get a smart phone and download Waze.

Indeed. Get a smartphone and use Android Auto or CarPlay. I use CarPlay on my current car (not a Leaf) and my previous car. I can use Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze.

Hi.

I use Waze (with the new Leaf Software that fixed the static issue) and CarPlay and it works just fine.

To me, it is one of those ‘principle of the things’…I should be able to update the MAPS in my car. I can do it with a Toyota, an Acura, and just about any other car out there. I presume that there is some super secret way of doing it with the Leaf.

Perhaps it is a dealer item only. Does anyone know for sure?
