Nissan connect in Canada for USA car

Hi guys.
I am in Canada but have USA leaf.

Hence having troubles setting up NIssan Connect. Called support line - they said that for USA car I need USA app that I can't download in Canada.

Any work arounds? And will this app do anything good without subscription?

I am new to this too. Just downloaded a few days ago. They have remote lock, unlock, remote climate control, start charge(however, can't stop charge, very wired) ,check SOC status. that's all what I found. Other feature need subscription.

I'd try using a VPN and download using wifi.

The app is very handy, even without a sub.

I have the same problem and I saw somewhere that they said that because it has a US SIM card and it doesn't work in Canada, you have to go to the US and charge it and install the Nissan Connect program for the US and then it works, but Unfortunately, I could not check
