My friend just got a ticket for not wearing a seat belt in his 2012 Nissan Rogue. The thing is, he was wearing his seat belt from the moment he left work until the moment he was pulled over. The police officer claimed that my friend put his seat belt on while waiting for a red light to turn green, at which point he was pulled over. Is there a way to retrieve the seat belt data from the car so we could prove in court that the police officer lied about what he saw? I know if you don't wear your seat belt the warning light turns on, so maybe the car saves that data? Should I see if a Nissan dealer can help with this? Is there any software that is compatible with my Bluetooth OBDII dongle that can do this?
Thanks.
Thanks.
