As you can guess, there has been a ton of discussion on range. But from the stats Nissan has published, AC/Heat are worse enemies than speeds of upto 65.

If your typical driving of LEAF matches EPA LA4 UDDS, Nissan's guidance would make sense because there's less than 90 seconds of LA4 driving above 50 mph:
