My plate is ready for pickup! We only have 6 letters to play with in Missouri, plus spaces or symbols. Mine reads:

G'BYGAS

I think that says a lot (will only pop into gas stations for my lawnmower gas). Now all I need is my LEAF! Few more days, hopefully?

Why not get a cordless electric lawn mower? Then you could avoid getting gas altogether!

I have a riding mower (for my postage stamp yard) - not ready to give that up just yet! :lol: Do they make electric riders??

I remember when I was a young teenager (amazing huh?) that John Deere made an electric garden tractor with a mower deck. I just did a Google search for "electric riding lawn mowers for sale" and found several hits.

(My Yard Machine came from Walmart. Their electrics: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Recharge-Mower-Item-G1-RM10/15841501" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false. One by one, most of my neighbors dumped their push mowers after I moved here with my riding mower in Y2K (a WOMAN in the 'hood with better toys? NO!!!! :lol. I'm the only gal around here who mows (really!)...guess the other women have their husbands/SOs to do it (dang their good luck!) :roll:

My plan was foiled when they decided not to have a green exterior colour. I'm a Tolkien fan, so I wanted to name my car LEGOLAS, which translates from the Elven to 'Green Leaf' in English. LEGOLAS is already taken in Pennsylvania anyway, but apparently a few of the numeric replacements for the E, O and A are still available according to the PA web site. L3GOLAS, LEG0LAS, LEGOL4S, etc.

Apparently, you can also blame Tolkien for my ridiculous spelling of the word 'colour'.

Yes, I know I'm a nerd. I've come to terms with it.

It was just luck of the draw, but I have a Press Plate on my Leaf that just says 1772 on it... And it doesn't even cost me a penny extra to have.
