You "heard" him, folks. He wants to be filtered, I'd like him to be filtered, you don't want to read him. Click on his profile, and select "Add Foe" to hide his posts. He'll eventually look for attention elsewhere.
Oh man if I can get the mods to ignore me... Yeah I would totally go away for sure. Don'tworryaboutit.

What's your best evidence for healthy people under the age of 44 getting the virus multiple times and it being anymore than an inconvenience?
Forget the study im sure you wasted at least 20 minuts Googling for it, I'll even settle for a few cherry picked articles that could convince a hypochondriac to be a little concerned.
My father was a full blood hypochondriac so I know what bugs them.
I'm setting the bar low enough for a 1 year old to crawl over. You got this.
1 year old crawling mightily. I think I "got this."

We should keep on doing what we're doing, which would mean disrespect for masks (yet another super-spreader event last night, with the SS-in-chief leading the way), disrespect for social distancing, and a total reopening of SS environments: restaurants, bars, athletic events, theater, schools, etc. With herd immunity, only the weak will be culled (but not you, you're strong!) , the laws of nature will be respected.

With the above scenario (currently in play), infection rates are increasing, which I guess from your posts you are cruelly embracing.

Definition of insanity. I think you know the adage.

Many here think there's a better way, proven by so many other "civilized" nations.

I'm tired of dealing with 'flags' from this thread. Can't this be a place of discussion? I am not making this into a [insert favorite one-sided site here] where only one side gets to tell their opinions - but both sides, fight fair! Support your points with facts, statistics, etc!

If you can't handle someone disagreeing with you, then maybe the Off-Topic section of the forum isn't for you.
If you really don't like somebody, then instead of insulting them in the public forum, simply click on their username and click the 'foe' button on their profile to automatically hide all their posts from your view.

I WILL NOT just ban one side from this thread, the whole thread will get shut down if we can't be civilized.

As of now the only thing I'm convinced of beyond any doubt is that you people want more lockdowns just to hurt healthy people under the age of 44 who are otherwise mildly effected by the virus.

Change my mind.
Here are some healthy people 44 or under who were affected badly by COVID-19.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covi ... /index.htm shows thousands of people in the US 44 or under who died of COVID-19

Even if someone is 44 or under, healthy and all that, they can still spread it to others, who can in turn spread it to others, some of whom can get very sick or die from it. Even worse if it ends up being spread to someone w/no health insurance or no financial means to pay for medical care.

A suggestion -- it would be nice if a "foe's" postings were hidden entirely. As it stands, you still get a line of text indicating every time they post on a topic, with an option to view. An annoyance, but more importantly I think this leads to re-engagement and flare-ups. A lack of self-control perhaps but human nature.
I noticed you're still working with polymers.

The real annoyance is when people quote someone you have 'filtered' in their own posts...

I'm going to say the headline pretty much tells you all you need to know.
Says something to the effect of the 5th known case in the world, first in the US, mind you this is right now, not back in march or April where the 2nd infection was worse than the first infection and the person appears to be healthy. They didn't die.
Well I rest my case based on exculpatory evidence presented by the opposing party.
So to say worse reinfection is rare in healthy people where it's worse is a bit of an understatement.

Well thankyou for proof that my original statement was not BS. 5 in the world where the reinfection was worse.I never would have guessed that. It doesn't even seem possible. I don't even know if I can believe that it's so few.

So locknown otherwise health people because of "ifs" and "mights" which will guarantee more people live in poverty and suffer malnutrition?
I'm going to have to say that's rather disgusting.
Tens of thousands of >44 age healthy people die in car crashes every year and no one has ever suggested we stop driving because it will save lives.

Some are not here to "fight fair". Hard to have a chess game with someone that wants to throw the board and pieces on the floor.
