I wouldn't drive my car into water that deep!

The water crossing was cool! It's safe to say, you're OK to drive a LEAF through the carwash.

Doh! I wish I'd have known it was safe BEFORE I took it through the carwash yesterday. Both the car and I lived. Did get soap up the charge port though... :lol:

Where is the Starbucks drive thru with a child test? Or the pizza on Friday night test? Or at least the mwalsh wife's zipper bag drag test? Don't think they qualify as "torture" without these...

I wanted to see the water depth increased 6" each time until failure.
Make for a far more exciting video.

How about drive the Leaf into a deep pool of water and see how long it floats to allow escape. Or could you drive out? Mini sub would be a great getaway chase scene in a movie.

And what is so torturous about a paved road in AK? I wanted to see the traction or stability control in action on some ice or snow.

And dang it just hit the Leaf direct with the lightning already.

These test engineers are wimps

I'm glad to see that water video since I generally aim for every puddle I see...much to my wife's chagrin!

Definitely does not have the early VW Bug's "float-power"! :lol:

Fast forward to ~26:45 where they drive it through 27 inches (700mm) of standing water without incident.
