Receive a $500 Clean Fuel Rebate
As an electric vehicle (EV) owner, you're contributing to a cleaner energy future by fueling your vehicle with electricity. PG&E customers with EVs are eligible to receive a $500 Clean Fuel Rebate for their use of electricity as a clean transportation fuel.
...
You must be a PG&E customer with an active residential electric account. As the account holder, you may also apply on behalf of an EV owner in your household (or tenant in a multifamily household) with the vehicle owner’s permission.
You must own or lease an eligible plug-in electric vehicle or have permission from the vehicle owner to submit the application.
Your vehicle, identified by its unique vehicle identification number (VIN), must not have already received the Clean Fuel Rebate under the current owner or any previous owner.
You must have paid the vehicle's current registration fees and your vehicle must be registered in California to the address on your PG&E account.

I learned of it via https://www.facebook.com/groups/BayLeaf ... 963224562/. It apparently began on 1/9/17 so it looks like I can't apply for it for my former '13 Leaf that I returned at end of lease since I no longer have it and am not paying for its current registration. Whoever owns it now, if they're in PG&E-land can.

Some of the verbiage is confusing (e.g. owner but leasing contract mentioned). But it looks like lessees can qualify. You can request one rebate per qualifying vehicle.

I applied last night (for my currently owned used Leaf) and received a processing application confirmation email.

Assuming the site info is correct, this rebate should reduce my total PG&E bill for all the kWh used by my home and my LEAF in 2017 down to...

~$0.

I've been planning to cancel my PG&E service (once I have a V to H device) but PG&E keeps making this decision harder and harder to justify financially...

Where did you see this?

We applied already for our Leaf, but if true it would be great to get it for our Plug-in Prius as well. I can't seem to find any language that says there is more than one rebate per household.

I called PG&E at 1-877-704-8723 and spoke to someone with the Clean Fuel Rebate program.

They say there is no limit per household and all plug-in EVs each qualify for $500. That's $1000 I wasn't expecting. :D

That is nothing short of spectacular!

However, it is my understanding from reading on the Arizona Wind and Sun Forum that at some point, or it may be in place already, out in California, there will be charges for going off-grid, somewhat like a payment for the infrastructure they built that you won't be using. There may also be code issues too.

Also, if the LEAF supplies the V to H power, is there enough PV installed to recharge during the day, or would a QC or public L2 charger be needed?

I too am hoping to use the LEAF batteries, and I could if there was a way to convert it to be able to use it with my 48V battery bank. I don't need a Powerwall, I just need a power converter. :)

Just received me $1000 for 2 Leafs. My wife is now finally convinced I didn't go too far by insisting both commuter cars be EVs :)

I just got my registration card for my used 2015 Leaf. So I applied for the rebate. So long as the previous owner didn't apply I'll get the rebate. I'll post back when I here a responce.

I just received an email today from PG&E stating that my application was approved and that a check has been issued! So if you're a PG&E customer buying a used leaf it's worth applying.
