Extra button on smart key for charging

It would be great to have an extra button on the smart key to open the cover on the charge ports and then, if pushed again, to start charging immediately if the timer is set for later.
 
And it wouldn't even take any hardware changes; there are already three buttons on the fobs. Just re-purpose the button that activates the "panic" audio cue.
 
Or, better yet, just use the 4-button key fob that came with my Altima, and re-purpose the trunk release button for the charging port release button!
