Didn't have time to watch much of it, but he looks like he's put on a bunch of weight, sort of incipient Woz bloat-out.palmermd wrote:Here is an interview filmed Aug 15, so very recent, and after the "funding" tweet.

https://insideevs.com/bob-lutz-tesla-musk-step-down/Bob Lutz Believes Tesla CEO Elon Musk Should Step Down
Pretty much mirrors my own view. I want Elon to be around for quite a while so he can die on Mars, not after years of custodial care owing to a mental breakdown.Interestingly, Lutz thinks that Musk should still be a part of the equation. He also says that the CEO should continue to keep his title. Lutz believes that Musk deserves credit and respect for what he’s created. With the being said, he also insists that it’s time for Tesla to slot someone else into the management role.
- . . . I can’t imagine any sound investor who has money in the company or any independent board member would want him to remain as CEO in light of recent performance.
He’s obviously got some emotional problems. He’s self-medicating. He has shown some disturbing signs of being somewhat volatile and unstable.

After considering all of these factors, I met with Tesla’s Board of Directors yesterday and let them know that I believe the better path is for Tesla to remain public. The Board indicated that they agree.
