Another update:

Yesterday my new radio/nav unit lost communication with the steering wheel buttons. I couldn’t activate any voice commands, radio volume inop, radio channel change inop etc. The clock on the nav unit also froze. I set up a destination 120 miles away and even though the battery was fully charged and showing 220 miles range I got “Destination Out of Range” on the Nav unit.

It’s back at the dealership. I filed another BBB case. Nissan is requesting ANOTHER “Final Repair Attempt”. I guess the last final repair wasn’t final. Here we go again. 45 days out of service and counting.

And they are not giving you a loaner Leaf while they do this? It must be a dealership thing because every time they worked on my wife's Leaf, they always gave a loaner Leaf for free until the repairs were done, sometimes for days. :?

Wow! I'm so sorry to hear of your 45+ day ordeal! All over a radio/nav unit! And I thought my 2.5 weeks at the dealer was beyond frustrating. Best of luck on your Lemon Law quest, you absolutely deserve to get your money back.
(re loaner: the two loaners the local dealer offered me were so dirty I turned it down, lol - ICE not Leafs. This is my first Nissan and I don't know if I'll buy another. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the Leaf and don't regret getting it but....)

I didn’t request a loaner. The dealership doesn’t have loaners but brings you to a discount rental car company and the dealer picks up the rental fees instead.

We have 3 other vehicles and I hate rental cars. If the dealership had a loaner Leaf I would have taken that.

Do you plan on continuing with the buy-back if they ever fix the radio issue? What dealership was this?

Not sure at this point how I will proceed. I will tell you that the arbitration group is arrogant, Uncooperative and very forceful. This makes my hair stand up and want to fight this all the way through BBB arbitration and if necessary State Attorney Lemon Law court.

When the technician called tech support stating when a destination 120 miles away was entered, car was fully charged with 230 miles of range showing it displayed “Destination Out of Range”, support told him that was normal. When I arrived at that destination I had over 90 miles of range available. Every time I cleared the warning message it came back up a few minutes later. This can be duplicated every time. It’s like the NAV unit thinks it’s not a Plus battery.

Then the lost communications between the Nav/radio/Bluetooth and steering wheel is intermittent. Shop couldn’t get it to do it. Fortunately I took a video of it for “evidence” at an arbitration hearing.

Nissan arbitration specialist is sending a tech specialist to the store to work on the car on Monday.

The dealership has been as frustrated as I am. They have been very responsive, communicative and professional. They are doing all they can do while following technical escalation directions. It’s a west coast Florida dealership which I don’t want to name because they are not at fault. Nissan arbitration specialist on the other hand takes days to return phone call or emails. They have no empathy for what I am going through.

This hasn’t been a good year for me with cars. Yesterday I picked up a brand new special ordered $77,360 Ford F-350 Diesel truck that Ford paid for to replace my 23 month old 2019 F350 diesel. My 2019 was Lemon Lawed and this new truck was special ordered to as Florida Lemon Law replacement.

My 1 day old Lemon Lawed replacement truck is Pictured below.
