From https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/11/18/ohio-wedding-covid-coronavirus/ about that superspreader wedding:
A photo of their wedding posted to the venue’s Facebook page shows a basketful of hand sanitizer bottles for guests beside a container holding disposable white masks. A sign in between read: “Spread Love Not Germs.” But another picture shows the white-and-gold chairs for guests did not appear to be at least six feet apart, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Although the couple both quickly noticed most guests hadn’t picked up masks, they told WLWT they didn’t feel they could change anything at that point.
“When I saw everyone not wearing masks I was just like, ‘Oh, well I guess we’re just gonna kinda go with it I guess,’” Anthony Bishop told the station.
Photos currently still up at https://www.facebook.com/CooperCreekEventCenter/photos/a.584926708245949/4576434645761782/ and https://www.facebook.com/CooperCreekEventCenter/photos/a.584926708245949/4576435049095075/.

Indoors, people not spaced apart properly and almost nobody wearing masks during a pandemic? Good going!

Still small, but rising numbers of re-infections.

No lockdowns, no downturn: Taiwan attracts skilled expats with (mostly) COVID-free life

Taiwan has registered just 607 coronavirus cases this year and seven related deaths, according to the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control. Florida has a slightly smaller population (21.5 million), but has recorded more than 897,000 cases and 17,600 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 tracker.

Why are people still going to bars? What Cincinnatians had to say about COVID-19
Last weekend in area bars: Fearless talk, false assumptions and fiery rhetoric
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2020/11/20/why-people-still-going-bars-what-cincinnatians-have-say-corona/6314395002/ - some of what's in there is pretty disturbing but I guess not all that surprising. :(

In Dayton, Kentucky, inside a smoky dive bar on Berry Street, bartender Jenni Saunders says she wouldn’t heed the guidelines even if there was another shutdown.

She didn’t before.

During the first shutdown, Saunders said half of her customers started coming to her house across the street from the bar.

“We didn’t stop doing anything,” she said. “We didn’t follow the mandates. We didn’t, and I wouldn’t even if they did it again, I wouldn’t. Like, whatever, it is what it is. I’m still going to my mom and dad’s for Thanksgiving. I’m still doing the same thing. I haven’t changed any of my routine, and I’m not gonna.”

Saunders, 45, says she wears a mask when asked to at Kroger, Walmart or Target. But she doesn’t want to.

And if she’s near someone else who is wearing a mask, she doesn’t think it’s necessary.

“I don’t need one if yours is working,” Saunders said.

“I just think it’s silly. I think you should be able to choose what you want to do. You know, stay home, stay home. You want to wear a mask, wear a mask. I’m not staying home or wearing a mask. I mean except for the stores that make me or they won’t serve me. That sucks.”

Then, she added, with a laugh and a shrug, “If I die, I die.”

I find it odd how they closed bars which are overwhelmingly utilized by adolescent adults.
But they opened cassinos which the few casinos I have been in were utilized to the tune of 90% by people 60 and over.
So based on that right there you know shutdowns are not about saving lives.

I'll pretend your mask works if you pretend I'm wearing one.

...and Cruz' Texas just topped 20k NEW covid19 cases yesterday...that's 20k new cases in ONE DAY!

I'm live in Fort Worth, TX. Dog-walking (marathon runner) friend of mine (early 60s): met him walking on the Trinity. He kept his distance (he was a total denier), passed by, stopped, said, "I've just come out of 14-day quarantine. I had Covid19. Mild case, but...YOU DON'T want to get this...seriously. It's bad."

"Do you know where you caught it?"

"YES! TCU football game 2 weeks ago, no masks, 12 of us in a friend's home. 11 of 12 caught covid19. One died, another is still in ICU, 6 are still bed-bound."

Yup. It's a hoax.

Coronavirus: Sweden's Tegnell admits too many died

One can check what I pointed to at https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=584037#p584037 about how Sweden's COVID-19 deaths per 1 million population compares to nearby countries/neighbors.
Sweden Sees No Signs So Far Herd Immunity Is Stopping Virus
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-11-24/sweden-says-it-sees-no-signs-herd-immunity-is-stopping-the-virus
There’s little evidence that herd immunity is helping Sweden combat the coronavirus, according to the country’s top epidemiologist.

“The issue of herd immunity is difficult,” Anders Tegnell said at a briefing in Stockholm on Tuesday. “We see no signs of immunity in the population that are slowing down the infection right now.”

Lab tests of masks.

Haven't had a chance to read it yet but the name Linsey Marr stood out. I've seen her on TV a bunch and her name came up again in https://www.insider.com/how-gym-prevented-outbreak-after-coach-got-covid-19-2020-11 ("A gym trainer exposed 50 athletes to COVID-19, but no one got sick — because one member is a ventilation expert who redesigned the room's layout.")
A Virginia gym managed to avoid a coronavirus outbreak after a coach was infected.
While at least 50 people were exposed to the virus, no one else got sick.
That's in part because Dr. Linsey Marr, an expert in airborne viral transmission, is a member of the gym, and worked with the owner on gym policies to reduce the risks for athletes there.
Marr said ventilation and plenty of space are essential to having a safer workout indoors.

Vaccine can be intense.

https://science.sciencemag.org/content/370/6520/1022

But after the second injection, his arm swelled up to the size of a “goose egg,” Hutchison says. He can't be sure he got the vaccine and not a placebo, but within a few hours, Hutchison, who was healthy and 43, was beset by bone and muscle aches and a 38.9°C fever. “I started shaking. I had cold and hot rushes,” he says. “I was sitting by the phone all night long thinking: ‘Should I call 911?’”

Hutchison's symptoms resolved after 12 hours. But, he says, “Nobody prepared me for the severity of this.”

I assume that he got a goose egg-sized swelling on his arm, rather than his whole arm changing to the shape of one. When I was about 9?, I got an injection of penicillin for some mishap or other. My arm actually did swell along its whole length, and I got a fairly high fever as well. I don't relish the thought of repeating that, so I'll probably wait for whatever vaccine is least likely to cause that kind of reaction.
