This is pretty cool. Got a Leaf a few weeks ago and today I went to City Hall to get my free parking decal. It only took 5 minutes. I can now park at any City of Cincinnati parking meter for free (also free at a garage downtown). This is a great benefit as I go to a lot of meetings downtown...

How'd it go? I printed off the form and info to do that but I'm waiting until I have my license plate (just got my Leaf). Looking forward to it as I got to tons of meetings downtown and free meter parking would be great!

Finally snagged a Leaf. 2015 Black SV with Premium Package on Labor Day. Woohoo! I love it! I'm the only one in my office building with an EV and everyone is asking about it and wanting a ride.

I don't have a Leaf still, sadly, so I don't have a full purchase experience...but I've test drove at Falhauber Nissan and they were knowledgable and not pushy at all. They even offered to let me take a Leaf home for a day and night. I've also been to the Kings Nissan and talked to one person...

A Nissan dealer told me over the weekend that "it's free to charge up at any Nissan or Ford dealer in the country". That is not correct, is it? Isn't it up to the individual dealer whether you're allowed to use their charger?

38 Leafs at one dealership? Wow. I'm in Cincinnati and if I search a 30 mile radius from here, there are a total of 11 Leafs here! Yesterday, I was at a dealer who had 4 Leafs. So, all the other dealerships combined only have 7.

I used one of these in my car for quite a while. I had a cheaper, run of the mill battery, and it lasted a good 7 years even with me not plugging it in all that often. It was my understanding that the battery I had would normally last about 4 years so not bad at all!

I always hear about good deals on Leafs in CA. I've never heard of states near me (OH, KY, IN) offering anything near those. Would any dealers not on the West Coast drop to those kinda levels by bringing these up?

What ended up happening? I'm in Ohio (Cincinnati) and have not seen anything here near 26K before the 7.5K credit for a 2013.

I'll put on my big boy pants; thanks for the great advice. Sorry to complain about a Leaf experience on a Leaf chatboard. I'm guessing we weren't talking to the same person. Otherwise, he didn't think I knew anything about the car and was making up whatever he wanted; I don't know.
