I welcome the news, as I believe it is a necessary milestone for the movement. After living through the Blink nightmare, I am cheering for Aero's success in the delivery of electrons. Charge me... please... then open more sites with mulitple units. The golden era of empty free charge stations is...

ICEless in Seattle : Official Pacific NorthWest thread

Oh yeah... it's on. I've been spending too much time on the sleepy Rav4Ev site wanting to start something with all those Bay area Ev'er. Lets face it... the 2 best teams in the NFL will be in Seattle Sunday, and this match up has the potential to be the greatest Seahawk game of all time, but...

    Manzanita Micro P3 30A/50A EVSE

This is the bomb :) I purchased my CS-60 for my Rav a month ago. Now I wish I had purchased this instead. But it's on my wish list. A portable that can charge my leaf at 6.6 or Rav at 9.6... wow Bonus points... it's produced 10 miles from my home. Good job Manzanita 8-)

Yes.. Your right, not necessarily better brakes, but firmer. I like the solid brake peddle feel of the Leaf.

    Battery Replacement Program Details

Thanks, "Fiasco" may have been too strong a word. I just don't like unknowns with something I've purchased. Now I don't care about the battery. A much nicer place to be mentally, and financially. And my "buying the Leaf was a mistake" comment was off too. Not really a mistake at the time...

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

That's too bad. I own both and I love both. But I drive the Rav because it an incredible machine. Although I'm ready to deal with any issues that arise, I haven't had any issues. Just pure EV joy. Fast, almost twice the usable range as the Leaf, super functional (I carry 10 ft lengths of lumber...

    Battery Replacement Program Details

Just a follow up... It didn't take long. My 2011 is sold. This battery fiasco is no longer my problem. I can use any lithium chemistry from any manufacturer for electric propulsion in my sailboat. I admit... buying the Leaf was a mistake. The irony.... I just leased a 2013 SL premium to replace...

    Battery Replacement Program Details

Interesting... I thought of it as another way for Nissan to make two battery sales to one Leaf customer, and in my case, a way to make the Leaf more appealing, valuable, flexible and, as a result, a life long customer. 8-) Sadly, I just listed my Leaf for sale on Craigslist. It is all about...

    Battery Replacement Program Details

So true... So my great idea of replacing my Leaf battery with a new one, and using the old Leaf battery to convert my sailboat to electric propulsion isn't going to happen? If so, I guess there are other battery options, and EV options too.

    Trade in values

Those Torquedo electric outboards are nice... and expensive Nice... I've done some weight calculations and it looks like the Leaf battery pack weight is very close to offsetting the 35hp diesel, tranny, and 200 lbs of house/start AGMs. It's a long term project... but it will happen.

    Trade in values

You're comparing apples and oranges. The LEAF (which Nissan is having a hard time keeping in stock) and the RAV4-EV (which Toyota is having a hard time giving away despite $10k+ in discounts). Yes.. I am comparing apples and oranges. Since I have one of each I can do that. I can't understand...

    Trade in values

The trade in value for my 2011 SL was so poor that I walked away from Nissan. I wanted a 2013 Pearl loaded, but it wasn't even available during the first few months from TN. Leasing would have been better... So I'll just keep my leaf forever. It'll pay for itself someday. So for $4000 more I...

    Blink QC charging fees

It's about time... this the first thing Blink has done right since its existence. Regardless of what price scheme you want to have, the fundamental problem with public DC3's in the NW is over crowding. This will fix that on day one. I'll take a "free ride" just as much as the next guy, but from...

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

Yes... I agree about Prius quality. What I loved most about the Prius was the "minimalist" dash design. The Rav4 ev is also very understated, which I love. The partnership was genius for both Toyota and Tesla. "Keep your enemies closer" the saying goes. For Toyota, they did win back my...
