I just lost my first battery bar at 22000 miles on my 2011 Leaf. I now use 9 to 10 bars to drive 35 miles and I have never had anywhere near the range Nissan publishes. The trip used to take 8 bars so I mostly charged to 80%, now I always get the LBW a few miles from home so I charge to 100%...

The 30a limit probably has more to do with wire size and saving money than the NEMA outlet ratings. It’s a little academic though as the EV roadmap seems to focus on 3300 watt and 6600 watt chargers (13.75 amps and 27.5 amps respectively).

This seems like an excellent thread for a new topic. Will the Leaf’s cruse control resume from a stop?

If Nissan uses a PID type motor control algorithm you may be experiencing integral windup. If it is windup the excessive acceleration would correct itself over time. You may not be able to tell however due to the ultimate speed limit.

You obviously don’t understand cell balancing. You don’t have to redistribute the load, you just move the fulcrum.
