411 on volontary recall P1273 LEAF VCM LBC TCU NTB12-014

I too just received the email as posted by Phil with no mention of the bracket, and I am one of the earliest VIN's around. I am figuring all cars below a certain VIN and in cold climates will get the update. I too am waiting to hear back on the VR update. I am still one of the very few on the...

    First Year Scheduled Maintenance

Reprogram the VCM? So you are no longer on your original revision software or had you previously done the upgrade during the service program that was mailed out?

Badges? We don' need no stinkin' Badges!

I am running a 28 module per bulb unit, 1/2 watt surface mount per module and they are bright (400 lumen per side). I had a coupon so they were not that bad on price from V-LED's (still more than ebay bulbs)...

Badges? We don' need no stinkin' Badges!

I removed all the rear and side badges over 4 months ago, posted about it in the ELECTRIC badge thread... I prefer the look over any badges: If I were to run any badges I would consider the LEAF and ELECTRIC like you have done. The Nissan "hamburger" and Zero Emission (improper grammer)...

I will not be able to make it Saturday as I will be helping with a Habitat for Humanity house build. I may try and make it by Sunday just to look around.

    New wheels and vinyl job

No, I'm running them with the TE16's (16x7), running 20mm front and rear. Volk wheels have reliefs and the bolt-on kit fits great.

    New wheels and vinyl job

I am running the H&R 20mm spacer set for a 350z on my LEAF with my Volks and it is working great. I have had them on for 8000 miles and I checked the torque of the adapter nuts when I rotated tires recently and they were all holding torque.

My company is in the process of getting public charging to go with solar paneled covered parking, similar to the Prudential set-up. If government funds are utilized for any portion of that installation then they must be available to the public 24/7, if not in use by the employees that work...

    Tein "Street Basis" coilovers

I changed my wheels in March, here is a thread I started on my lightweight wheels: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=3184 The stock wheels are 21 lbs, and that was on a calibrated scale.

How the rear wiper blade is held on

Or you can just remove the wiper motor assembly completely and put a nice cast aluminum plug in the hole... makes for a clean look: I never use a rear wiper and it always holds dust where the wiper blade meets the glass. Plus I like the cleaner look of the wiper (and emblems) removed.

Forged Rays Volk Wheels installed - stock wheels are HEAVY!

Nader, I did some trial runs with a set of 18x7.5's I have (Ray's/Volk wheels, 38mm offset, 16 lbs each) and they fit fine but with 225x40x18 Dunlop Star Specs the range was impacted significantly; too much for my liking (10-12% at least). I ran them for a couple days and went back to my 16x7"...

Forged Rays Volk Wheels installed - stock wheels are HEAVY!

No mention of the offset though (I would want to check that) and they will need to be recoated as those are scratches. And yes, Volk keeps the pricing high on the stickers ($100 a set if you can find them) and center caps ($150-$180 a set) to keep people from taking knock-off wheels and making...

Thanks, it is actually an old plate from an old S-10 Electric truck... kind of cool to have it back on an EV.

    Arizona Alternative Fuel Sticker

The alt-fuel plate is all that is required for carpool lane access. That decal is not. To my understanding it was originally created for other plates to be used on an EV and gain carpool lane access (vetran, foreign legion, purple heart, etc.). I was not issued one at the DMV when I...

    Tein "Street Basis" coilovers

There is no part number assigned just yet until they have been tested on the car. The damping adjustments are more to fine tune the car for the ride you prefer, not necessarily a street/track/etc. setting. You could stiffen the damping up for a more firm/spirited/better turn-in ride but how...

    Tein "Street Basis" coilovers

Until we have some time with the system on the car there will be minimal details. We may tweak it a little based on how it rides/handles.

    Tein "Street Basis" coilovers

I'm not for sure as I have always done my own work and alignments. I do know most places can charge $50-$80 or so for an alignment but the LEAF only needs a front wheel (2-wheel) alignment as the rear is a beam axle. So it should be cheaper. And as far as the install, the rears are easy...

    Tein "Street Basis" coilovers

I will be test fitting a set of KSport coilovers in the next week. They will be in the same price range but will have adjustable damping. I am not interested in an aftermarket shock that does not have adjustable damping. I would like to be able to tweak the rate a little to tune out the...
