But kinda waiting for Spark with supposedly 200 mile range in 2014. Seems that Nissan is hesitant to consider more advanced batteries (A123, Envia) GM is testing.

I hope you don't mind waiting for 3 years or so.

wont be worth it. in 3 years, the LEAF will have 150 real freeway mile range and be a much better car

TaylorSF; now that the temp has dropped, has your GID count increased as well?

i was seeing an average of about 270-272 most of the Summer but got a "281" GID count this morning albeit was short lived. i left the car on to get my phone to take a pix. came back 2 minutes later and it had dropped to 280...

but its also about 37º outside (52 inside) last night, SO did her 64.8 mile RT commute in LEAF and got home with only 27 GID with only low levels of heat and toggled defrost.
