I'm wondering that too. I've asked other Arizona people to let me know what their email says, September or August?
Reservation Date: 4/20. EVSE visit date: 7/12 (still waiting on estimate). Location: Outside of Tucson, AZ (outside enough that I don't qualify for the free EVSE).

Month given in today's email: August.

I really don't know why I got August while others have gotten September.

Got mine...a little disappointing, but what I expected living out in the sticks...

Hi Evan, thanks for reserving your 100% electric Nissan LEAF™. We just wanted to let you know that orders will begin in your area in fall or winter 2011.

We'll send you an e-mail when it's time to work with a dealer to pick your car's color, review options and get a quote.

As you can imagine, the response for the Nissan LEAF has been tremendous. The Nissan LEAF order period will be staggered by state, and the timing of your reservation will hold your place.

As a result, orders from states with an infrastructure to support electric driving - either in place or planned - will be taken first. But no matter where you live, you'll be among the first in your area to get a LEAF.

Okay mwalsh, so you're the first August one, and we're both in central Orange County. Congratulations!

I was speaking with a supervisor at Nissan EVs and I tried to get an idea why yours and mine were different and she wasn't really clear. She did seem to say that location and reservation date were important and that if we were in the same Zip code and both ordered on 4/20, she didn't know why we would have a different order month. But since we're in different Zip codes, that sounded understandable to her. So apparently Garden Grove trumps Irvine.

Whatever!

I think they have to get some to the poor people in north county before the rich in south county can get them. Probably being as Nissan is part Renault, which is French and socialist.

If I had to say why, I was in like really early when the reservation period opened up on the 20th. I mean like really early...I had to be amongst the first half-dozen to dozen people to reserve (at least that I know of).

Just came in:

Hi Richard, thanks for reserving your 100% electric Nissan LEAF™. We just wanted to let you know you'll be able to order your new Nissan LEAF in September 2010.
Wait a minute ... you're AZ ... doesn't that conflict with the August timeframe mentioned at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=851&start=10 ?

I'm wondering that too. I've asked other Arizona people to let me know what their email says, September or August?

Mine came in at 2:58...I'm going to call them and ask why Sept. instead of Aug. in the Phoenix area. I reserved right away too on April 20.
How's Pepper?

Quite possible. I had serious problems on 4/20. I got the reservation email around 3:30 pm and then had trouble with the Nissan web site not accepting American Express cards and it took DAYS to resolve the problem. In fact, I'm surprised I wound up with a 4/20 reservation date at all.

That'll probably cost me, ohhh $5,000 in Calif rebates...

This just in from a 2nd tier location...we have confirmed that email sent from Nissan's Irving, Texas location has arrived all the way down-state.

Looks like us Texas can order in September. Where's one of those dancing smilies when you need one?

I reserved on 4/20; there are no assessments down here yet.

**September in Washington**

Anyone from WA got for August?

Ordered on 4/20... disappointing

where u live? i am in Oly, mine says august. ru in Seattle City or the burbs? still even if in the county, u r much closer to the "launch" area than i would be... although i personally think that Oly is much greener than Seattle...(despite its "Emerald City" nickname!!)

My email also says September. Considering on the website California is one of the August states, it's a bit of a discrepancy. But I'm not surprised - they probably got too many orders to fit them all in August. September is going to come so soon! :)

It would be nice to understand where in line one stands. We may be able to order in September, but if delivery doesn't happen until July - doesn't really mean very much.

I wonder if that information will ever be forthcoming. It would be tough to place an order without knowing some type of delivery window.

WTF  is all I have to say....OCTOBER for me!! I'm in Northern Calif. - reserved within 3 hours of 4/20 e-mail. Had my EVSE assessment on 7/16.

San Diego.

Mine says August.

Reserved on the 20th.

I haven't been contacted at ALL about the consultation for the EVSE install/estimate.

Still don't know if I'll buy or lease.
:D

could it be the assessment date important? I had assessment on 7/9

Reserved 7/2/10

State: California

Email says I can order January, 2011 (fine by me, I don't have to be the very first one).

I wonder how long the delay will be between order and delivery once it gets to January.

That's what I'm saying. This stinks.

edit - to add:
What confuses me is my assessor made a comment about how "high up" I was on the reservation list based on my number. I'm really curious if something happened with either a) my location in Calif., or b) my assessment requiring me to install a new panel.
