If there are around 1 million electric cars on the road and let's say if they were gas burners they would be burning 1 gallon of gasoline per day. That's about 24,000 barrels of gasoline per day saved/exported.
IEA says that by 2030 there could be 18 to 20 million electric vehicles on the road. Saving around a cool half million barrels of oil per day.
Then there's millions of 4 to 6 quart oil changes not happening every year. Even better.
