My home's location has no cell service of any kind. I searched the forums and it appears that means there is no way for me to check the Leaf's charging status or have the climate control turn on automatically when it is at my house without going to the car itself and turning on accessory mode. Just checking to see if that is the case or if there are any other options to do either.

Thanks

You can program timers in the car to start climate control (if car is plugged in). You are correct--you cannot get status reports or start climate control remotely if the car does not have a cellular signal.

Thank you, I should have known I could set the climate control timer from within the car and it would work regardless of cellular connection.

Too bad about checking charge status without cellular. Would love to be able to do this with a wifi ODB2 adapter.
