Hi Fellow LEAFers -

Posting to see it any other LEAFs will be making it to Santa Cruz event? Please let us know if you can make it and how to make it a fun event for all while spreading the word about EVs. With enough LEAFs - a mini rally / loop through town? Prizes for the furthest LEAF from home? The most total miles, fewest miles if you take delivery, most eco trees in the last month? Or is that just too silly?

Location: Whole Foods Market, 911 Soquel Ave, Santa Cruz, CA
Date / Time: October 16th 2011, Sunday, 10am to 4pm

Here's a link to the the page and the official flyer put out for the event:

There are several free public charging locations in Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Scotts Valley - make sure you have your ChargePoint pass to unlock charging as these are mostly on the Coulomb network. After the event - happy to let someone Level 2 charge @ our place in Scotts Valley. Starbucks / restaurants within a couple minutes walk while you charge. The charger over at Zero Motor Cycles in Scotts Valley is also just a few minute walk from dinner or coffee. Maybe some other Santa Cruz owners can offer their chargers?

If you'd be coming from San Jose side of the hill and have not yet had a chance to test your range. Plan on using roughly 3 bars of charge to go up the hill from Los Gatos. Drive on ECO up hill and enjoy coasting down hill (still testing D vs. ECO - but that's another thread I haven't started yet). Once you get to the summit, you should be able to make it to Santa Cruz w/o loosing another bar.
