Hello everyone,
I was very happy with the electrician that helped install my AV EVSE and I thought I'd share his info. He has experience with solar as well.
His name is Somer Waters, co owner of Pacific Electric Worker-Owned LLC.

Hey guys, thought this was cool. This is the guy that I got my Leaf from!

This is not a beautiful solution but works for me--I had the electrician put in two of these RV hatches (one on inside wall, one on outside wall) so there's a little locking door with a notch cut out for the charger cable in my garage. The notch is the perfect size for the cable on my AV...
One additional level 2 charger has been added to the pay lot at El Molino and Union (near Vroman's) in Pasadena. Love this lot. I usually go grab a bite at Tender Greens, browse at Vroman's and pick up something at Target when I park here.
Hi TomT, you actually have the option of either graduating to Tier 2 or returning to the standard rate.
We're still contemplating Tier 2 but have many months left to think about it...
I recently planned a trip out to a destination near Thousand Oaks and was planning on charging at the Nissan there. It was listed on my Leaf GPS as a charging station.
Unfortunately, the whole dealership appears to have just gone out of business. When I arrived, it looked pretty much deserted...
For those of you living in Pasadena, I hope you've checked out the city's Time of Use electric rate plans for EV drivers. Basically, there are two tiers to incentivize charging at off-peak times. The first tier gives you a discounted rate for charging during off peak times. The second tier...

Hi RonDawg,
I can go by and double check the posted rules but the PCC website states that the lot is accessible but you need an overnight permit to park 12AM-6AM. The campus is pretty deserted at night and there aren't any gates there, so if you stayed with the car (sounds like you do if you're...
This lot has one of those ticket dispensing machines that you purchase a ticket from that goes on your dash. There's never an attendant.
It is $1/hour and $5 max from 6AM-2AM. The City is strict about parking violations so it's better not to take risks. There's only one spot and one charger at...
I have saved some addresses in the Nav system but can't seem to figure out a way to label or nickname the street address. For instance, in my old Garmin Nuvi gps, I can look up an address and save it with the label "mom's house." Is there a similar function in the Leaf's Nav system? Currently...
I would like to split the usage of a Level 2 - 30A EVSE between an indoor location and an outdoor location (not close to each other). I'd put a mounting bracket in each location and just move the plug-in EVSE as needed.
It seems that most EVSEs that are not-hardwired are not outdoor rated...
Hello! I was seeking reviews of the Bosch Power Max 30A EVSE ($593). Do you have one? Have you had any problems charging? How does it compare to other, more expensive chargers you have seen or used?
I called today to inquire when they'd be releasing the new HQ and was told that there was a model coming out at the end of July (~$650) and one in October. The one in July is hard wired. The one in October (~$800) will have a plug option and connect to internet via wi-fi. Sorry I don't have the...
