Sell the Leaf for a Model 3 or not?

    - I like the logic here, its sort of where my mind is at - the Leaf is reliable A/F...plus, the new battery. Maybe it makes more sense to Keep it. - Leaf isnt really worth much, although, whatever value would go towards the Model 3. - If I go with the Model 3, I think I won't have much need...

Sell the Leaf for a Model 3 or not?

Should I sell my paid off Leaf (with a brand new battery) and get a Model 3 (I have my reservation) or keep my Leaf? There is a part of me that says to keep the Leaf because it's paid off & I got the battery replaced this year (warranty)... But, the other part says....Model 3... Money isn't...

Lost my 3rd capacity bar, down to 9

Possibly - I'm in the midwest and we've had rather hot summers last year and previous, however - nothing like folks are seeing down in TX. honestly, I thought 73 wasn't that great...but I supposed being down 3 bars, I can't be too upset...just hoping for a battery swap!

Lost my 3rd capacity bar, down to 9

Well, damn...but on the upside, I am sitting around 28k for miles, so if my math is correct - it is possible that i'd see another bar lost within the next year. Fingers crossed, i guess

Lost my 3rd capacity bar, down to 9

As the title says, I lost a 3rd capacity bar today. I'm still getting fairly good range, 65-ish miles, depending on how I'm driving. Am I eligible for a battery replacement? There is loads of great information on here, but it's hard to sift through everything and find a solid answer.

Post pictures of your home charging setup

Yup - Its a esve upgraded charged..had an electrician install a 240v outlet in my garage. Used some hooks from a home depot type store and hooked the pack on the wall, found a hose wreel thing for the cord...cost me about $10 for the parts to hang it on the way..and about $500 for the install...

At what price would you purchase a LEAF instead of lease?

For me, that number was $19,000....I decided to buy a Used 2011, over Leasing (or buying) a 2013. At $19k - the car is a good value, even with degradation.

    Math behind leasing vs buying

i recently had to choose between leasing a new 2013 SL...or buying a used 2011 SL...I chose to buy the 2011. We bought it for the same time length the lease would have been. 39 months, Payments were about the same with 0 down. I bought mostly because we want 1 car payment. Leasing means...

What does it cost to have a solar setup?

Thanks for the info!! Sounds like on the low end, DIY would be around $5,000...and a more professional installation would be around $10,000 (both plus/minus 20%). Seems more expensive then a I thought. But I knew it wasnt cheap. I think the tax credits make it a do-able option.

Local Atlanta Nissan dealer put BAG and LOCK on its charger.

Dude...very "un-duuude"...thats pretty lame - I would call up Nissan Leaf and Nissan Corporate and let them know that a dealership is turning away people who could be potential advocates for electric car buyers. Its a great opportunity for potential customers to see a Leaf owner charging. Even...

Lets day 40 miles a day. I loose about 4 "range bars" during my commute on week days. Or - lets say to go from 30% -> 90% I hope that helps
