Hey folks, My windshield now has a significant crack in it. Fortunately it's on the passenger side, but I want to get it replaced. With the electronics in the rear view mirror, I'm wondering if I should take it to a dealer or if a regular body shop / window replacement place would be fine...

Personally I love my LEAF. Yes, I'm a woman. I've gotten a lot of comments on how comfortable the seats / material is, and everybody likes the quiet.

I bought my LEAF in Washington (Campbell-Nelson) which has no sales tax for an EV and got just a temporary tag. Friends trailered it to me in Nampa (near Boise, ID) and registered it here and paid ID sales tax.

Hey folks, Work has me out of the Seattle area for the month of August when my Leaf should be delivered. I can put in for vacation time and book flights back to Seattle, but I'm hesitant to do this without more info on when. Currently my account page shows delivery for the Week of August 5...

I was thinking that you'd get the Tax credit if you were the one who bought it, but I guess neither party would get it.

Thanx for the info about the sales tax exemption. If I'd known that and the (IMHO) madness to Nissan's rollout method, I would have kept my Washington residency.

Haven't decided on the EVSE yet, just trying to decide if I can get one installed this fiscal year. Since I won't have an EV to try it with I was just wondering how the heck I'd know if: 1. the EVSE actually works 2. the electrician's work was ummmmm complete.

Since it is entirely possible that I'll get an L2 EVSE device installed prior to having a Leaf (or other EV). How can I test that the installed device is working? Can I just put a volt meter on it or does it require some sort of 'load'?

Actually I did pass on the opportunity to buy an 'orphaned' Leaf for MSRP + $800. Paying a premium for a car outfitted with options I wouldn't want, and then having to pay to transport it was a bridge too far, even for me. 8-)
