Beware of charging stations where the lock notch is not lifting up normally. Had a bad experience at a colorado Walgreens, I think because of extreme cold or something, charge point plug's lock is stuck, so i went in, had a little difficulty pulling the plug out of its holder, thought it was not...

HVAC Gone Bad - Heating, Ventillation and Air Conditioning

I got my car back last evening. Like the dealer had mentioned, they changed the DC/DC convertor/distributor and Control Box. The car heating is like a normal ICE car now. I hope to start enjoying my leaf again . What a pleasure to drive this thing after 11 days of ICE Car :-).

HVAC Gone Bad - Heating, Ventillation and Air Conditioning

Thx for pointing me to that thread. It looks like there have been various other flavors of Heater Failure. In my opinion, Nissan should redesign HVAC.

HVAC Gone Bad - Heating, Ventillation and Air Conditioning

Only coolant pump and it requires both the DC/DC convertor and Heater control box to be replaced as well? The dealer did not say anything about replacing a coolant pump, but could be... he did mention removing bubbles from the coolant though... i don't know. I have not seen any other posts...

HVAC Gone Bad - Heating, Ventillation and Air Conditioning

My HVAC failed after 2 weeks of buying a new Leaf. Not sure if i am unlucky or what but Heating in my Leaf stopped working after a few weeks. I am in Denver, Colorado but even in Colorado winters, Heated seats and steering wheel was enough heating for me, so I had the temperature turned down to...

After the last Snow storm, my car is ready for a wash. What car wash can i go to? The nearest one is a "Car Wash Express" which has a warning to keep the antenna down and i don't know if leaf antenna can be taken off. Also it has the system where the automated rail walks the car through the...

Thanks for your responses. As I am learning to drive it more responsibly, my range is getting better in spite of really cold winter nights here in Colorado recently. Appreciate the help.

I Just drove 11 miles west on E-470 and back, I had climate control at 64 degrees and was driving just like i drive my gas car... sometimes going at 70-75 mph. I switched to Eco mode only when i hit local roads. I guess i should've driven at 65 mph on highway.

    2nd LEAF in Colorado?

Here is what has been quoted in this forum before The incremental price difference (IPD) for the Nissan leaf is $12,250, which is higher then they originally posted, so the tax credit should be turning out to be: $12,250.00(IPD) - $7,500(FTC) = 4,750 $4,750 x 0.85 = $4,038 Your tax credit is...

    2nd LEAF in Colorado?

"enable Carwings" link on my Nissan portal just became active and my date shows Jan 6. I remember a Nissan spokesperson at Leaf test drive said the same thing about being able to purchase once you have a VIN# and being able to get tax credit based on that, i wish i had taken her contact info...

    Cold in Colorado!

I also see a "week of 02 January 2012" status on my order now, earlier it was showing Nov 2012. I think you can talk to the dealer and pay a few days earlier once you know the VIN#, to be able to avail tax benefits, delivery date i think does not matter. I will talk to a Nissan rep to find out.

    2nd LEAF in Colorado?

Did you get your delivery in Colorado? If Yes, then, you might be the first one to get a Leaf delivery in Colorado. Folks have had out of state delivery of Leaf, but i have not heard of anyone getting a Colorado delivery yet.
