[SOLD} 2011 Red SL with QC for sale - SF east bay area

Well, I made the switch to a Volt. Too may dance competitions and work related trips therefore it's unfortunately time to sell the Leaf. This low VIN (232) beauty is listed it at an attractive price of $13,900 with upgraded EVSE. Tried to pick a price that is fair to both buyer and seller...

Getting ready to sell my 2011 LEAF

Well, it's been a great ride. Literally :D , but with my commute and extra miles I need to drive on occasion, I need to move on to a plug-in hybrid before the green stickers are out. Looking to see how the market is and what would be a good deal for both buyer and seller. It's a red 2011 SL...

    Fracking's Hidden Costs

Here are two recent news articles on some non-environmental costs of fracking: Drilling Down: Deadliest Danger Isn’t at the Rig but on the Road By IAN URBINA (New York Times) -- After working 17 hours straight at a natural gas well in Ohio, Timothy Roth and three other crew members...

ChargePoint L1 - Ground Fault Error

I've tried two different L1 ChargePoint stations and I get the same error on both with a blinking red light on the ChargePoint stating that I have a ground fault. I tried my upgraded EVSE with a different LEAF and it works fine, so I believe it's with my LEAF and not with my EVSE. No problems...

    Steering Wheel Not Centered

I’ve had my car now for about 8 months and I just realized that when I’m driving straight the steering wheel is about 10 degrees to the left. If I center the wheel the car is in a right turn. It’s not an wheel aliment issue, since the car will drive straight without any input from the driver...

    6 Month Battery Check

Just got my LEAF back after having the A/C unit replaced. While it was in the shop, my 6 month maintenance notice (edit: not battery inspection notice) came so they did a battery capacity check (free of charge). Happy to report after 4,700 miles driven on 100% charging, I'm still at 12 of 12...

Aerovironment EVSE L2 For Sale: SOLD

I had my AV unit installed in January shortly before I received my car. It has the longer cord option. The AV L2 has worked perfectly, but last month I was accepted into the EV Project and now have a Blink EVSE installed and had the AV unit removed (so far so good with the Blink). My AV unit...

Do you think we can have them add "Drive an EV" to their list on how to prevent smog? Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, 2011, is a Spare the Air Day in the San Francisco Bay Area. Concentrations of ground-level ozone pollution are forecast to be unhealthy tomorrow. Hot temperatures...

Edmonds 6 Month LEAF Road Test

It will be interesting to see how it compares to Motor Trend's test. http://www.insideline.com/nissan/leaf/2011/2011-nissan-leaf-sl-long-term-road-test.html They also have some great shots of a Red LEAF.

    Only Three Handles?

Okay, I know the LEAF is not the first car to do this, but it is the first one that I've owned that only has three interior handles above the doors...all but the drivers side. My only guess is that it makes it easier to keep two hands on the steering wheel. Currently my hand keeps going up...

    Where's that rattle?

My car has gotten a pretty good rattle coming from the front passengers area, but I can't find it. I push on every plastic part that I can reach while driving, nothing. I have taken everything out of the car (that is not attached) and from the glove box, still rattles. I'm going to get someone...

    Current Oil Price Rising

Oil is near its 1 year high: Current price up $1.63 to $86.32/barrel (was as high as $86.68 this morning, 1yr high $86.84 on 4/06). Some of this is due to the weak dollar, but also to a speculation that the economy will be doing better, thus increasing demand. Not going to say that is correct...

    Alexander Test-Drives All-Electric, Zero-Emissions Nissan

Here is a "review" from Sen. Lamar Alexander (who is a Republican by the way). According to all the FUD, I thought the only ones behind EV's are liberal, socialists, left wing nuts  ! It does help that he is from Tennessee where Nissan will be putting a lot of people to work. Alexander...

The Cruel Realities of EV Range on Seeking Alpha

Has anyone read or commented on this (besides EVNow)? This man must have a large following based on the number of comments, even though half are from the author John Petersen. I would like to see if we can take him down a peg or two because I just can't get around his logic of the cost of EV...

    L3 Charger...is it worth the $700?

Okay, now that we know the rumor of the L3 being standard on the SL was false, is it worth the expense? Given that we are all early adopters and the infrastructure is not there right now (but will be in the next year or two for those in EV markets), should we go ahead and pay the premium for...
