Well we got them yesterday. $199/mo, $1,999 down - we traded in our identical 2000 Hyundai Tiburon's for $1,200 each. Could have gotten 36 mos for ~$20 more / mo, but opted to hold out with just 24 mos, so that we can see how the newer models will improve.

Due to our low daily mileage (one ~15 miles and the other ~30 miles) - we're going to hold out for a bit on 110v outlet charging at home, but will monitor usage and get a dedicated 220v / EVSE if needed.

Thanks for the forum member's support in preparing for the big day!

Mahalo (tx) all. Here is a link from my friend Liam going to the top of Haleakala (10k foot volcano on Maui) and back! http://vimeo.com/47432693" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This video is very fun to watch. I was quite curious about how many bars and miles Liam would regain on the downhill stretch. I'm glad he added that info at the end, even though his phone died. :D

This is the first time I've seen a LEAF display reading two bars and only 6 miles! That looks quite odd .

Well, I didn't get a picture, but I got to the top of 4500 ft Stevens Pass, WA with 6 bars and GOM=17mi. Had I driven harder, I probably could have gotten it down to 9mi. On the trip over I had 9 mi on the GOM, but forgot to record the battery status so I can't say how many, but certainly more than two.

Sort of off topic but
Yesterday I saw a black leaf in waimea On the big island of Hawaii - it had surf board racks on top.
I'm here on Vacation and the newspapers have a lot of ads for solar hot water..
I think leafs and solar panels are a great idea in HI
