Hi everyone,
I've just found this forum. Wow, what a treasure trove on information about the Leaf.
My company has built a STN2120-based device for capturing very basic, OBD sourced PID data from various cars. It has been working in Hundais, Toyotas, Kias and a few others.
We've just installed the device in our first Leaf, a 2018 model. Looking at out device's trace, we first noticed "UNABLE TO CONNECT" coming back from every PID request. After a bit of hunting we learned that some cars don't respond well to the the STN chip's 'auto protocol detection' command 'ATSP0'. So we changed our boot process to explicitly set the protocol to 'CAN 500kbps' , using the command 'ATSP6'.
From that point we've been getting 'NO DATA' to every PID request, irrespective of if our Leaf is On/Off.
1. Has anyone else encountered this?
2. What protocol and baud rate for the 2018 Leaf?
Thanks in anticipation of someone's help. We're super stuck!
