30kWh to 30kWh replacement: DIY

The range has gone down on my 2016 30kWh, but it's still very usable (~90mi, I get ~5mi/kWh so looks like it's got 18kWh usable left give or take the GOM magic).

I've got a replacement 30kWh battery I bought from a breakers.

In terms of swapping these as like-for-like, is there any consideration needed on the VCM? Is there a procedure that will help with the "battery reset" or will this happen automatically based on the new battery controller?

A thanks to you and Jim for the great update for LeafSpy. I used it today for a friend, who installed a replacement 24kWh battery in a '13.
