I have 2015 SV with 6.6kw charging.

Finished some things with my car at dealership...recalls and free 3g upgrade, but didn't ask about this.
Does anyone have some recent experience?
I was trying to find an answer, but i only saw some older posts and people trying to do by themselves.
I'm in Springfield IL. Just in case if someone can recommend, someone close by me, who would be able to do that.
Thank you in advance.

I may move this topic later, as there is probably already one on this.

It is possible to install Fast Charging on a Leaf, but it is rarely worth the effort and expense. You have to replace at least the top half of the onboard charger as well as installing the required cabling and the port.

Sorry if it's posted somewhere already, but I couldn't find any solid answer regarding Chademo installation price.
That's why I'm asking to see what are some exact numbers and options.

There isn't an official price as there's no procedure to do it. You'd have to get all the parts cheap (e.g. used or junkyard) otherwise, it's better to change cars.

https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=12704 may help. Images are broken on page 2 but https://web.archive.org/web/20150918184733/https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12704&start=10 has working ones but EV4Taos's pics for for an '11 or '12 w/the on-board charger in the back (not the front that's in '13+ Leafs).

Do you happen to have a wrecked DC fast charge version of your car with the front end intact?
I think I have seen 2 cars upgraded to chademo. About the only way to do it is parking the good car next to a parts car and start swapping stuff.

Well, my situation is that I don't have some ( better to say "any") car-mechanical-electrical-repair knowledge nor any tools.
That's why I'm trying to find someone who can do that and for what price.
If I have to find some used parts, I'll do my best to find some wrecked leaf, but that's only thing I could do.
I didn't think I would need it, but there are Chademo chargers around places we, occasionally, need to go.

+1 to what Leftie said.

Your other option would be to take your car to a EV shop that deals with Leafs and let them do it. I'd guess they would charge at least $1k if you can find such a place. I wouldn't trust any non-EV shop to do the work and I doubt any would even attempt it.
