Saw a FB post about this. Their post said “As meat processing plants closed down, these farmers were desperate to find ways to harvest their animals before it was too late.
Tune in to watch “Supermarket Shock: Crisis in America’s Food Supply,” premiering Tuesday June 30 at 10 p.m. ET”

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/24/cnbc-documentaries-supermarket-shock-crisis-in-americas-food-supply-premieres-tuesday-june-30-at-10pm-etpt.html
In March 2020, as COVID-19 began to spread rapidly across the country, fears of extended food shortages sent consumers flocking to supermarkets in an unprecedented surge of panic buying, emptying shelves of household staples such as toilet paper, pasta, milk and meat. This hour-long original documentary tells the stories of the people who fought to restore the supply chain and keep it moving—from factory and farmworkers to wholesalers and retailers–all the while putting themselves at personal risk of contracting the virus.
Looks interesting… I’ve set my TiVo to record it.

A clip of https://www.dallasnews.com/news/public-health/2020/07/01/i-dont-need-his-advice-anymore-texas-lt-gov-dan-patrick-says-of-top-covid-19-expert-dr-fauci/ the TX Lt. Governor Patrick was played on the news earlier tonight.
“Fauci said today that he is concerned about states like Texas that skipped over certain things. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Patrick told Ingraham. “We haven’t skipped over anything. The only thing I am skipping over is listening to him.”
Ummmm… w/cases spiking in Texas and hospitals getting full, TX didn’t bother following gating criteria at https://www.whitehouse.gov/openingamerica/ before opening up.

Herman Cain treated for COVID-19 after attending Trump rally
https://apnews.com/a55448594adb1fa3b46513a821e05e3b
2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is being treated for the coronavirus at an Atlanta-area hospital, according to a statement posted on his Twitter account Thursday.

It’s not clear when or where Cain was infected, but he was hospitalized less than two weeks after attending President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He did not meet with Trump there, according to the campaign.

Cain, 74, was hospitalized after developing “serious” symptoms but is “awake and alert,” according to the statement.
He was aka the "pizza guy".

"Treatment with hydroxychloroquine increased the death rate significantly in sick patients hospitalized with COVID-19 – and with heart-related side-effects..."

https://www.henryford.com/news/2020/07/hydro-treatment-study

Presumably, you meant to write it decreased ("cut") the death rate.

It goes on to say "Dr. Zervos also pointed out, as does the paper, that the study results should be interpreted with some caution, should not be applied to patients treated outside of hospital settings and require further confirmation in prospective, randomized controlled trials that rigorously evaluate the safety and efficacy of hydroxychloroquine therapy for COVID-19.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend, tests positive for coronavirus
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/kimberly-guilfoyle-donald-trump-jrs-girlfriend-tests-positive/story?id=71604361
Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, serves as the national chair of Trump Victory Finance Committee 2020, the president's reelection campaign, and is focused specifically on fundraising. She and Trump Jr. often headline fundraising events together.
...
She is the ex-wife of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

If the below is accurate, does that mean the country has given up?
'We need to live with it': White House readies new message for the nation on coronavirus
The effort to craft a clearer response comes after months of Trump downplaying the health crisis and mixed signals from the administration.

I remember seeing this story or pretty much the story on TV at the beginning of the below:
Inside look: San Antonio Methodist Hospital overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients.
https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2020/07/02/inside-look-san-antonio-methodist-hospital-overwhelmed-with-covid-19-patients/

I bring it up since he talks about ECMO (ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and briefly shows someone on it. At about 6:10, it talks about the harm can ventilators can do to COVID-19 patients. ECMO has been brought up a bunch of times at my work for months by someone who's been following COVID-19.

Maybe it's not a panacea though? A real doctor over on "TMC" suggested Googling for ecmo complications. Seems not good but I have no idea what the odds are of some of the more severe complications happening. Might be worth the tradeoff vs. death.

Arizona woman claiming she’s Trump’s spokesperson goes nuts at local Target and attacks face mask rack
https://www.rawstory.com/2020/07/arizona-woman-claiming-shes-trumps-spokesperson-goes-nuts-at-local-target-and-attacks-face-mask-rack/

Almost the entire video of the attack is profanity.

Aggressive anti-mask customers are forcing some restaurants to shut dining rooms to protect employees from abuse
https://www.businessinsider.com/anti-mask-customers-force-some-restaurants-re-close-dining-rooms-2020-7

Besides all the videos I've seen, a worker at the local Burger King brought this up with w/me about uncooperative anti-maskers coming in. IIRC, he said that one of them almost wanted to start a fight about it. This location doesn't have a drive thru.

I've seen some fast food places w/drive thrus just not open their lobby/dining room (where you're not allowed to sit anyway). That's the case w/a Dunkin Donuts about 10 miles from home, even during the middle of the afternoon.

Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro tests positive for Covid-19 after months of dismissing the seriousness of the virus
https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/07/americas/brazil-bolsonaro-positive-coronavirus-intl/index.html

Yes, I've heard about some of the stories mentioned in the above. He'd previously dismissed it as a "little flu" and from all accounts totally mishandled the situation in his country besides being a whacko himself. Per https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html, Brazil is now #2 in the world in infections at over 1.6 million.

Trump and Brazilian Trump junior have both called it little more than the flu. Hopefully, Bolsonaro and Trump will reap what they have sowed and succumb to the virus that THEY have so cavalierly said was nothing. THEY are responsible for the deaths of thousands.

Let's just hope Bolsonaro has a near death experience w/COVID-19 so that he actually might take it seriously, for the good of his country.

Otherwise, if he just recovers w/it being no big deal, he'll just say that. Someone at work suggested that maybe he's faking it. Or, he'll later say he never had it and he never said it.
