Love this excitement here, for me another year or maybe more or maybe I will choose right time for me at the end. Definitely no import from another state even TX, bought one there before and once discovered problem caused by dealer, they did not want to talk to me. 400 miles versus 5 miles make big difference in communication.

Volt is here in OK, look and drives really good.

Yep mine too Dec 2 to the 10th so we assume the cars are not on land yet?

The 15700s, apparently, are at port, or I wouldn't have been contacted regarding the splashguards having been installed by mistake. That kind of work is done at port. Beyond that, who knows?

A North Carolina resident (also with a VIN in the 15700s) got his delivery date moved up to December 1st. Port-of-entry for North Carolina is Newport News, VA. The Hoegh Trident was there on November 16th. The Hoegh Trident was in Jacksonville, FL (port-of-entry for Florida) on November 14th.

It may be that Nissan is having some challenges arranging ground transportation. If I was involved in ground transport I'd want to maximize the load on each trip. I'm sure the LEAFs represent one of the smallest groups of cars on the trucks or trains. We may just have to wait for all the Altimas and Maximas and Sentras to fill up the trucks before they can go.

Grrr...everyone's date being changed made me go look at mine. It changed from week of December 13 to week of December 17.

Dang it! Mine just slipped from December 8th to the 19th. :( 11 more days!

My dashboard just changed from Nov 23 to Nov 25.

Man am I pissed…. I have just been told that I have to lease my Altima for yet another month (6 months after the lease expiration).
I told Weston Nissan them if I get bumped one more time I am outta here, I have had it with this crap I am sure it has been the same as you guys Jan, March, Early Summer, Late Summer , Early Fall now Mid December???? BULLSHIT!!

I can say without hesitation that today I came to the realization that this beyond stupid, Looking back I can’t believe I stayed with it for this long.

I am going to look to see if dealers in Tennessee have any and just ship one down or tell Nissan go f*** themselves and lease a Volt. I am that pissed off with this crap, 15 months for a car cummon why am I waiting 15 months.

The whole thing is pretty silly.

Customer: I want to buy a LEAF.
Dealer: You want to lease? We have a nice 2011 Altima at $159/month
Customer: No, a LEAF!
Dealer: Oh, ok. The electric car? I don't know much about that one, but let me see... That will be $450/month. No, wait... That will be $388/month. No, let me take that back... It will be $495/month.
Customer: Where are you getting those numbers?
Dealer: Oh, I just plug them into a computer and it spits them out. I have no idea where they come from, but I do know I can't offer you anything firm, since they change every week.
Customer: So, when can I expect my car to arrive?
Dealer: Mid November. No, wait, I lost your order information. What car did you order, again?
Customer: an SV.
Dealer: It looks like that will arrive in mid January 2015. A typhoon is expected to hit Japan on December 11, 2014, and that may delay things a few weeks. No need to discuss any details, today. We need to wait until the day the car arrives.

It OK cause I got this from Weston

Hi Steve:
I hate to disappoint, but...

Your car is the second one we have scheduled to deliver. The first one was scheduled for a week prior to yours, and it, too, was pushed back about ten days.
Weatherman think this was you?
I asked my GSM to call the inventory managers for Nissan for this district to see if she can give us a better handle on the exact arrival date. I'll inform you as I get information.

I would hate to lose you as a customer, Steve. But I have no control over this. All I can do is try to be of service.

Please be patient. You literally are nearly the first person in South Florida to have a Leaf and there are always glitzes with the process as things are first coming on line. I will go out of my way to see to it that you are satisfied.

BTW we also show a car "in stock". It's the demo you drove, and we aren't permitted to sell it.

Im calling Tennessee anyone got any leads on 2012s in Tenn?

Yes, that's mine. And, it's more accurate to say it was pushed back about six days, but has been confirmed to be going through final assembly in Jacksonville.

And we are, by no means, the first people in South Florida to get LEAFs. Just by checking the AutoNation inventory list for their South Florida dealers, there are at least a dozen ahead of us in line, two or three of which have already been delivered.

I am really over this I sent Weston this email

I realize that you have no control but as my salesperson you are the one I need to go to get some results, while I also realize that this is not a big ticket car and the dealer profit or commission is not that of a GT-r you have to realize my frustration and understand I don't give a damm. So call your GSM today and offer me something other than "I hate to disappoint"
Better still call this guy

I have an Altima that is now 6 months past its return date and a car company that seems inept in offering any communication what so ever to the location of a car I reserved in June 2010.
Apparently other car companies inform their prospective customers where their vehicle is from production to shipping to delivery. I do not even know if my car is in the US or what ship it is on (I can name the vessels that are supposedly bringing Leafs over and the sailing dates and the port dates if you like).

On Saturday I plan on contacting Tennessee dealerships and if I can get a car from them I will and cancel the one that is coming to Weston, and if they cannot help I am visiting the Chevy dealerships but I plan on having a car lined up by November 27th.
(The day I go to month 6 of leasing the Altima)

I was going to also going to buy a Volvo S80 from him and he has been bugging me to come in and order it
The way I feel right now is that if I do not get something from these guys I am going elsewhere.

Cracovian, in GA, mentioned he might leave an orphan because he was planing on one LEAF this year and one next, but both are coming this month. Send him a PM about it.

There are also a few in TN; no idea if still available.

Ok, another thing... I have the second LEAF coming in a few days. I was hoping to get it next year (ordered really late) but it's now week of November 16 :( There's no way I'll be able to pick it up and I'll most likely cancel on Monday, so we'll have one of the first orphans in GA if anyone wants it :) It's blue and fully loaded with eco package (zero emissions stickers on doors too.) Is there any way to profit from it (for example across the state lines) or should I just cancel and forget it?

There are three Orphans in TN at: Hunt Nissan 2121 Chapman Road Chattanooga, TN 37421 . They are 2011 SL, I believe they are Red, Black, and Pear. Asking price is $35,440. They may be SL's but there is no mention of the QC port nor the winter kit. Both of which come with the SL model in 2012.

Mine is also going through final assembly in Jacksonville. My VIN Plate was shipped separately from the car due to the typhoon.

Yesterday I went to BS Nissan to get a full quote on my car price. Leonard (GM) was out of town so I talked to Douglas (Internet Manager/Leaf Specialist). He was very nice but there was no negotiating the price. He would not remove the $599 dealer service fee (it is literally per-printed on their invoices!) or work with me on my trade-in. The used car manager claimed the Car Fax showed my 2002 Prius was in 2 accident. Clearly they were not interested in a 9 year old car so I am selling it on Ebay. The Car Fax that came with the Ebay auction clearly shows no accidents whatsoever, but I knew that already since I saw the Car Fax when I bought the car!

Here is the breakdown

$37,250.00 - MSRP
$850.00 - Nissan Destination Charge
$170.00 - Floormats
$599.00 - Dealer Service Fee
$6.50 - Battery Disposal Fee
$2,382.53 - 6% Florida Tax
$50 - Dade County Tax
$250.00 - Tag & Title
$2.00 - Lemon Law Fee

Grand Total $41,510.03

I secured a car loan with University Credit Union at 2.74%. I doubt NMAC has a better rate.

Interesting. Way back when I thought it was you who had negotiated with BS Nissan to get the dealer fee waived. That's how I got them to waive mine and I made them put it in writing. Of course they gave me a quote of $400 for the Tag & Title but that is a whole other story.

Interesting about the trade-in too. I hope they don't screw me about mine too. My Lexus is 10 years old.

$250 for tag/title/registration looks correct. It's about $100 less than that if you are trading in a vehicle and doing a tag and registration transfer. $400 is, most definitely, not correct.

You might want to remind BS Nissan that the LEAF doesn't have a spare tire, so the $6.50 quoted for battery disposal, which is really a tire fee and a battery fee, combined, is really $5.50 ($1 per tire for four tires and $1.50 for the battery). This may seem trivial, but indicating you know this fact may reduce the temptation on their part to "fiddle around with the numbers".

It, definitely, is the ultimate in arrogance to hard code the dealer service fee into the purchase agreement.

Just for reference, here's the breakdown of the numbers from my Prius purchase agreement from five years ago. This involved a tag and registration transfer from a trade-in:

The following items are taxed at the sales tax rate:
$6.50 – battery and tire fee (Prius has a spare tire, so this is ok)
$20.50 – tag agency fee

And the following two items are not subject to sales tax:
$2.00 - MVWEA (Lemon Law fee)
$127.50 – Registration/tag/title

So, about $158 (tax included) for everything. The LEAF registration may be a tiny bit more, since it's a heavier car than the Prius, but not hundreds more.

Maroone Toyota charged me a $599 dealer service fee, but it wasn't hard coded on their purchase agreement (I just wasn't smart enough at the time to notice it or fight it).

Test drove a Volt today................Nuff Said.

I tried to get an orphan from Tennessee but the earliest I can get a 2011 SL in Black is Jan of March (beats me just that's the answers I got from three dealerships) I guess I am just in a really bad mood over this EV thing.
I just want my Leaf please tell me other are as frustrated as me or am I being unreasonable. I need a "Leaf's anonymous help group" to get me the rest of the way
