A neat little trick that has become prevalent in our area too. I doubt it has anything to do with the cost of credit transactions, it's just a way to show a lower price on the sign then stick the consumer for an extra 10 cents or more per gallon. They know nobody wants to go inside and stand in line to pay behind people buying cigarettes and slim jims.
