Would it be possible for you to use a Quick 220 along with an EVSE upgrade?

Yes, see our FAQ.

One hour of charge does add 6 miles to the clock, so I guess both the LEAF and I are awesome like that :)
No! One hour of charging at 120v does NOT add anywhere close to 6 miles driving in normal circumstances, at least not for any but a tiny fraction of drivers. Here's a rough rule of thumb for you:
  • What is your long-term average m/kWh on the dash or console?
  • That is how many miles you can depend on for one hour of 120v charging.
  • This assumes you don't charge above 80%, and you make little or no use of climate control.

For those of you who don't have your car yet, I expect the average among all MNL posters is somewhere around 4 m/kWh.

I should have used practical and not possible in that sentence. Still loving the upgrade Phil!
