Lots of new posts and you tube videos on this one -- too bad LEAF's use CHADeMo which won't work on these.

Neat idea but as many non-Tesla EV's chargeports are not in the same spot as Tesla's (driver's side rear) could be a challenge as the videos are showing - if Nissan switches to CCS like it has for the new Ariya it will eventually open up more trip charging options for them.

The Tesla Supercharger just seems to get better all the time! I've used them on a number of trips and even when they appear 'full' you don't have to wait long and it's quick and reliable ...

When I checked the Tesla app the day of, for CA (so far), only saw CCS sites in Scotts Valley and Placerville. IIRC, was 52 cents/kWh w/o membership and 42 with $12.99/mo membership.

And, of course, CCS only. There are some more in the NE, like NY.

Another way to find them w/o the Tesla app is to use https://www.tesla.com/findus and filter by Superchargers Open to Non-Tesla. It doesn't list the prices per kWh though.

After the initial test in March, several new Magic Dock sites have appeared recently, including two on the Trans Canada Highway west of Ottawa, one in Fort Worth TX, and at the newest Supercharger Station in Moab UT. There are reports of Magic Docks being added to some of the stalls at the big Supercharger Station in Beaver UT, but it isn't on Tesla's map yet.

The Moab location is of interest because, according to Plugshare, there aren't any CCS DCFC stations in the area. Should help with road trips to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks (well worth doing, in my biased opinion, since I live only 145 very scenic miles away and go there frequently). The Moab location has been confirmed by pictures of the Magic Dock installations.

Five Magic Dock stations were activated in my area recently:

Moab, UT
Montrose, CO
Craig, CO
Kremmling, CO
Lamar, CO

All lightly used stations not on the Interstate highways.

I got my first chance to see a Magic Dock at Montrose CO yesterday:

The signs and bollards between the stalls have been removed to allow CCS cars to nudge in closer to help the cord reach.

Besides the original ones in NY and CA and the five in Colorado and Utah (with Beaver UT coming soon), Magic Docks have been activated in several other new places:

Mackinaw City, MI
North Bay, ON
Deep River, ON
Enfield, CT
Easton, MD
Washington, IN
Haubstadt, IN
Beaver Dam, KY
Marion, IL
Vicksburg, MS
Ruston, LA
Natchitoches, LA
Fort Worth, TX - Eastchase Pkwy
Boardman, OR
Moses Lake, WA
Quincy, WA
Forks, WA
Chugiak, AK

As always, you can find them by going to https://www.tesla.com/findus?v=2&bounds=58.73325196216875%2C-53.88010837584446%2C19.82736093450622%2C-156.36057712584446&zoom=4&filters=party
