    Nationwide this March

As one of the reservationists in the final tier I guess my $99 didn't get me anything. I'll be requesting a refund.

    MY12 Leaf : SV $35,200, SL $37,250 - $369 Lease

Well, I'm still going to hold onto my reservation to see what happens but I must say I'm getting a little weak in the knees. By the time us upper Midwesterners get to order, it'll be spring of 2012 with delivery in Fall 2012 - that's 2 1/2 years on the reservation list. The 2013 model will be...

LEAF to get 6.6kW charger in 2013

I think they have to address upgrades and reservation timing quickly. As a reservation holder in a Wave 5 state we aren't going to even get a crack at ordering until late Spring 2012 with deliver maybe early Fall. It seems like a lot of Wave 5 folks would pass on their reservation and wait...

when will tier 2 finally get to order?

Yup, I emailed Nissan and was given a Wave 5 (Wisconsin)date of April-June of 2012 for ordering. These last few days ar the first I've heard of the "wave" rollout and it seems to be consistent with what others are getting back when the email Nissan's Leaf contact.

Nissan get your head out of your bottom

I've got no complaints as I only plopped down $99 and expected a wait. I didn't make any committments beyond that. That being said, there was a big disconnect between the marketing and actual availability of the car. They didn't manage that well at all. The rollout schedule, and even the...

Article - Nissan to deliver 10k Leafs in 2011?

Where are you seeing ORDERS. The article is accurately quoted as saying all those who "reserved" will have a car in their driveway by the end of the summer.

Article - Nissan to deliver 10k Leafs in 2011?

Nissan needs to clean up their message. There are 30+ states that have people who reserved cars but there has been no communication to them on when they may order and take delivery of their cars. Does this "vow" include all of the original 20K reservations - even us cold climate folks? Why...

    Leaf tires in the snow?

Having lived in WI nearly all my life I can say that the best technology for snow driving are snow tires. AWD, 4WD, FWD, traction control all help a little but nothing compared to a set of Blizzak's. I've had them on the family minivan and a RWD Mustang GT. Despite those not being thought of...

    Nissan Addresses Slow LEAF Launch

I'm glad to be in one of the last rollout states. I've got my reservation and I get to see how the market and the car progress over the year before I make the final committment. GM and Ford are starting to press Nissan to our advantage.

Biggest problem I have with the Leaf......

So what's the annual mileage limit on the lease? If it's like $.40/mile over 12,000 miles, isn't the benefit over gas imited to just the 1st 12K? After that the per mile cost upcharge offets the gas savings significantly, right?

Biggest problem I have with the Leaf......

Let me ask a simpler question than. For those who have a 2011 Leaf on order, with it's 3.3Kw charger, and given that the 2012 model given a 6.6Kw charger, is it your expectation that you will be able to upgrade the charger? If not, would you consider delaying a purchase until the 2012 model is...

Biggest problem I have with the Leaf......

I knew an intial response would be the inevitable "if you're worried about improvements, don't buy it". What I'm obviously pointing out is that a computer or blu-ray player is one thing, a car is completely different. A ten year old ICE still has a decent residual value because the basic...

Biggest problem I have with the Leaf......

First, I have a Leaf reserved and intend on acquiring one when it is available in my area. I can live with the range and all the diosyncrasies and details released to date. I also accept it is new technology and there will be some unknowns. Financially, I'm fortunate enough that I can...

Nissan announces Leaf Rollout : 15 states by April 2011

Well, all I have to say about living in WI is that maybe they'll work a few bugs out and get the onboard charger up to 6.6Kw by the time they get to us.

    Battery upgrade potential

Why couldn't Nissan just stick a port in the trunk where an additional array of batteries could be installed to extend the capacity of the inital set?
