Is The Nissan LEAF Styling Kind Of Homely??

Reviewer Dan Neil from the wall Street Journal said it best "The Leaf looks like a choking fish"

    Rural Life with the Leaf

Our 2011 Leaf lives in the rural Santa Ynez Valley, CA. It is a 60 mile round trip north or south to the nearest "cities". The Leaf has been flawless for the past year and a half, which is amazing because the southern trip includes a 2,500 foot high pass at the 20 mile point. I look forward...

    New Nissan Survey

I thought the several survey questions asking what factors, in what order of importance, were important to you in purchasing the Leaf were missing a very important issue. My answer was "Duh, no gasoline needed"

Looking for Leaf owner in hilly or mountain areas

I drive back and forth between Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara on a regular basis on HWY 154. The trip starts in Santa Ynez at 700 feet altitude, over San Marcos pass at 2,500 feet altitude, and down to SB at sea level and back. The winding road has a 55 MPH speed limit and I drive it at 60 (most...

    California Central Coast LEAFers

It has been 5 months since the last post on the central coast site. Perhaps there are enough new owners since then to activate our group. We recently moved from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez. I am in SB a few times a week and the round trip on 154 over the pass is very doable in the Leaf. FYI...

Revenge of the Electric Car-Los Angeles Showing

Saw the film along with a huge crowd last night in Santa Barbara. It is a great film on many levels, great cinematography and great insights into the development of EVs by four different companies with four different strategies. There was a lively panel discussion after the film which...
