    Driver Door Handle Problem

found this thread after our rear door handle literally fell off when we tried to open the door. I have a very early 2011. Thanks for starting this topic and for the youtube video! It looks like an easy fix if I can get the door open. We have the child locks on so I can't open from the...

    Nissan LEAF R/C model car

I'm in Tokyo with a week to kill. Any idea where I could find one of these? I found the little die-cast models at one of the big stores in Akihabara. I asked about the little hot-wheel type Tomy cars. They show up in their system but the Leaf model won't be available until September. I...

    Bike Rack

Just following up here. I've had my Yakima roof racks on the LEAF for 6 weeks now and they are awesome. Just a few seconds to pop the front wheel off and put the bike on. If you are transporting a bike frequently, I think the roof rack is definately the way to go. My range has gotten better...

    Portland Oregon Group

A silver LEAF with Pacific Wonderland plates parked next to me at Old Spaghetti Factory tonight. That has to be DarkStar, right?

    Portland Oregon Group

That would be me! I've seen several Leafs out in the wild over the past week. Even parked next to one at Bandito Taco/Bobalicious yesterday. Seems like a lot of us Portlanders went for the silver. Still happy with that choice after 3 months. If you see a silver one with bike plates and a...

I'm really impressed that you were able to move that much of your usage to off-peak. I have 3 full months of data now and I drive about 1000-1100 miles a month, and it has added about $20 - $22 a month to our bill. I calculated the difference for us between TOU and the regular billing, and...

    Anybody else getting SHOCKED?

I've had my LEAF for over 3 months and I still get shocked every time I exit the car. So, it doesn't go away for some of us lucky ones. I also get shocked every time I drive our Mazda (infrequently these days) and it is 4 years old. It seems to affect me a lot more than my wife, and my...

    Bike Rack

A 56cm won't fit (at least not easily) without removing the wheels. But, any halfway decent bike has quick release levers on the wheels so it isn't too bad. I carried my 56 road bike almost every day for 2 months in the back. I folded down the left rear seat, and the fork would sit on the...

    Roof Rack

I knew someone would comment on that. Truth is, my road bike is so filthy I was embarassed to put it up there for a picture. The neglected TT bike got the call up, even without pedals or a rear tire. I also think I want to retract my comment about the rack being noisy. My wife...

    Roof Rack

I posted a couple of pics of the LEAF with the Yak Racks. https://picasaweb.google.com/dyhopper/LEAF?authkey=Gv1sRgCMW6xdeojOG4oQE# I definitely noticed the increased noise on my way home from work, and that was before I had the bike (or even the bike tray) on there.

    Roof Rack

Just got my car back and the racks look good. They said the towers that fit are readily available at any Yakima dealer. Yay! The Yakima website will be updated by tomorrow with the specifics. Let me know if you want any more information. I can take a pic in a couple of hours when I get home.

    Roof Rack

My car is at Yakima right now being measured. He said that there is a good chance that some existing towers and clips will fit, in which case there will be an official fit very soon. If they have to manufacture something new it will obviously take a bit more time. I'll have more info this...

Was that DarkStar's? I hovered around the area for a good 10 minutes trying to sneak in and introduce myself, but he was constantly mobbed with people. Seemed like a lot of genuine interest. Thanks for doing that.

    Bike Rack

My car is being measured by Yakima so they will likely have something soon. So far I have been folding down the rear seats and throwing the bike in the back. Kind of a pain.

    Roof Rack

I'm lucky enough to work next door to the Yakima headquarters and so I offered up my car for them. I just got off the phone with them and I'll be bringing my car in in a couple of weeks so they can take all the measurements. Hopefully it won't be too long before they have an official setup...

Anyone in the Portland area that doesn't want to wait for a LEAF might want to jump on this: from OEVA facebook post: ------------------ Wilsonville Nissan of Oregon has a Leaf for sale on their lot right now. It is silver w/ lots of options including DC Fast Charge. The intended recipient did...

ECOtality Level 2 charger : Blink

Definitely worth trying though. Sounds like it's not reliable for everyone (most?), but I've had my Blink for several weeks and charge using this scenario every night and haven't had any problems.

Glad to see some other Oregonians finally getting their LEAF! Mine has over 1600 miles already and I still haven't seen another one on the road. Congrats everyone!

ECOtality Level 2 charger : Blink

I passed this on to my EVProject contact last week and he said that a ticket was being entered for this. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Must be a rather unique situation here in Oregon. I had the same issue setting up my TED.
