2013 SV with LED and premium package in PA
splash guards
floor mats

24 months, 1k down, 12k miles
$289 a month total, with tax

Is this a good deal or should I try to negotiate more?

Easton PA
I was just told $285/month. I have 2 dealers fighting for my business but this is the best I can get.
Other dealers in PA and NJ gave me much higher quotes.

FWIW:
I think it is a decent deal, I pay a similar rate and I do not have the options you do. however another respondent suggested that you can do better, you have nothing to lose by trying for a better deal.7

Call Chris Casey at Exton Nissan
610.594.7400 x 1014
856.562.8255 cell

They sell more Leaf's than any other dealer in PA / Lower NJ
Give him a shot? What do you have to lose?
He drives one every day in from Jersey to work.
He LOVE's Leaf's, not just selling them.
If you don't think you can make it home on a single charge, I bet he would flat bed you closer to home.

Good Luck
(Let me know what he says ;) )

Looked it up.
Easton to Exton.... About 80 Miles.
Pushing it, especially driving up 476 the whole way.

There are, however, MANY Level II EVSE (Chargers) along your route.
Start off with the full experience on Day ONE!

A Wallgreens with 2 free Level II's in Norristown, JUST off 476 (about 1/2 way), and an Exxon that says it has several Free Sema Chargers further North.
Order all your charger cards in advance (Today!)
Blink, SemaCharge, Chargepoint, etc.

If you ever need to come ALL the way down the Blue route, there is a Level II at my house you can use.
With a 6.6 Kw charger in a '13 that can work out for you.
I'm on Plugshare (.com)
Bring a Kindle

Again, good luck.

What is the asking price - how does it compare to MSRP ? What is the money factor ?

Essentially if you can get the best available money factor and the asking price is close to invoice, you would be doing well.

I haven't seen the numbers yet but have been told the asking price is close to invoice, for both dealers. Planning on going to one of the dealers today to see the car and get details.

Exton Nissan has 2 SLs in stock, maybe more if I call?
I'll give Chris a call...thanks

Does anyone know the tax benefits/incentives of purchasing in NJ or PA?
The car will be registered in PA though.
Been trying to contact my tax guy but no luck yet.

The Tax benefit is Federal, so it doesn't matter what State.
The State Benefit, if any, is tied to the registration state, not the Delivery State.

Lease VS purchase also matters.
Can't get the Federal Credit if you lease, but if you lease for 3 years, the Dealer should build the credit ($7500) into the lease.
(Perfect if you don't have $7500 of Federal Tax Liability to offset the Credit)

There was a $3500 PA "Grant" but it ended in February 2013.
It was limited to a certain number of cars.
They have a new program for $3000, but it only applies to purchased vehicles, not leases.

Here it is;

http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/alternative_fuels_incentive_grant/10492/alternative_fuel_vehicles/553206" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Good Luck.

Let me know how this is progressing if you get a minute.

Got the 2013 SV, LED and premium packages.
Great car, buyer's remorse lasted only until I picked up the car.

Got the $7500 federal credit even with this 2 year lease.
Nissan got the credit and passed it on to me.

Sucks about the PA grant, still will try, the CPA I go to used to work for the IRS, might find a loophole.

Glad it worked out. Can you clarify the deal for me? Are you paying $289 a month for 24 months with $1,000 down (total of $7,936), AND getting a $7,500 tax credit IN ADDITION to the lease terms? That would make your net lease cost $436! I assume your lease terms reflect the tax credit reducing your lease payment.

Enjoy the car.

The car is pure enjoyment, smooth and quiet. And pretty fast, probably beat most cars off the line.
As KillaWhat said, the $7500 federal credit is built into the lease, was considered a down payment which made the lease very reasonable, imagine if it was towards the 2 year net lease cost!
$295 including taxes
The $1000 down out of pocket also includes the 1st payment so 23 payments of $295, up from $289 as I pushed for 15k miles/year. Net lease cost of $7785, not bad for the east coast I think.
