I can't believe the manual doesn't state what the URL is for the "Nissan owner portal". I could easily have missed it but I just didn't see it anywhere and I looked for a while. Tons of mentions of the portal site, no URL.

I ended up googling it, and registered at https://owners.nissanusa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Apparently, that must have been the wrong place, as when I added my Leaf in there, nothing about Carwings at all in there.
I searched the site and finally found this FAQ, with text and not HTTP links.

https://owners.nissanusa.com/nowners/navigation/faq" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It says the correct URL for registering is http://www.nissanusa.com/owners/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .
So I went there and registered too - the other account login did not work.

I typed my VIN and it said it was invalid. I doubled and tripled checked it.
Then the server says "Grails runtime exception".
Now when I signout to the portal again, I cannot do anything. Clicking "manage account" shows that error again.
Clicking "edit vehicle profile" does the same thing.

Am I just being dense today or is there some problem with the site ?

I can access my LEAF's status via:
https://www.nissanusa.com/owners/login" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Carwings statistics site... I am not seeing.
I will look again.

Bump.

I tried to call Nissan but their support for Carwings is closed on sunday.

Am I the only one with this registration problem ?

They recently came up with a new owner's site. That's the one you registered at https://owners.nissanusa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Unfortunately, all of the Carwings stuff is at the older one (the second one you tried): http://www.nissanusa.com/owners/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm thinking that by registering with the new portal first, you may have confused their system...OR Carwings is just FUBARd like it is sometimes.

Thanks. Not sure what it was but Nissan resolved it over the phone for me.
My car is now in both portals and it's OK.

Thanks for that info! I've been searching for an hour.
I too just logged on to the Nissan site I had used for years and added the car. Nothing happened.
Once I found this topic, I tried the 'new' site, and sure enough...BINGO!

Crazy that Nissan can't or didn't merge these two websites!

I was lucky, I called the salesman who sold me the car; a likable and knowledgeable young man in his 20's (I'm over twice that...) and he set the accounts up for me, called me back and walked me through it over the phone in the car.

I have to say, my Nissan dealer experience was the best dealer experience I've ever had.

So does it mean you're old when a "kid" helps you through a tech issue?? ;)

Happy to say I had the same experience with my Nissan salesman. He also was 20 years younger than me and couldn't have been more helpful. Entering my fourth month of ownership and still loving every minute.
