EricH said:I followed the advice of a former Prius owner who lost their stickers when the car was rear-ended and the bumper was replaced. Therefore, I avoided the lower wrap-around bumper on the Leaf; the side stickers are on the quarter-panels above the bodywork joint, and the rear sticker is on the lower right corner of the hatchback, 'inside' the "Zero Emission" letters.
The idea is that if the Leaf is rear-ended, and the only damage is to the wrap-around bumper, replacing that won't require me to obtain replacement stickers (and forego HOV access while waiting for them).

Applying something to the paint beforehand perhaps?

I'm sorry to say I question whomever applied that sticker ability to drive safely and would personally give this vehicle a wide berth if I was to encounter it on the road :shock:TEG said:From the "What were they thinking?" department:
There's a Tesla driving around Mountain View with the same. I don't remember where he put the other two.SanDiegoLeaf said:I taped one into the left bottom corner of the rear window.
I've been passed at least twice by the Highway Patrol. No problems.

That's where mine are too. :lol:EVDRIVER said:Mine are in the glove box. Not putting them on. I suppose I should put my plates on as it has been since March.
I had the ones for my Prius stuck to the windows, but my current plan is to tape them up when needed.SanDiegoLeaf said:I taped one into the left bottom corner of the rear window. I've been passed at least twice by the Highway Patrol. No problems.
Exactly. I figure as long as they can see them, they won't care where they are. Those that do are just being a**hats...TomT said:The other side of the coin is that I was stopped once by the CHP even though all three were in their proper positions because he couldn't see a sticker when I was coming up from behind him...
