Delivery of July/August 2011 orders (for MY 2012) Tier 2

I asked Nissan today and they said that the LEAFs destined to the East coast are unloaded in Jacksonville. Does anyone know which ones of the NMCC ships are doing the Yokohama-Jacksonville route these days? I have only found the Euro Spirit (currently in Baltimore) which it seems will be back in Japan by Halloween and back in Florida by the last week of November... :| Looong wait

The Sapphire Ace went through the Panama Canal then on to Jax and is out in the Atlantic. From a couple months of watching the deliveries to Long Beach, it was difficult to pick up a pattern. The magic ship with all those East Coast Leafs could be another one.

You are right, Sapphire Ace is one of them! It was in range of Jacksonville 7 days ago and heading towards Panama; I think it should cross the canal in about 4 or 5 days which puts it in Japan by October twenty-something and back in Jacksonville by mid-November. :mrgreen:

The Grand Cosmo is in Jax now. I think it is also a Nissan ship.

I don't see the Grand Cosmo in the NMMC fleet, also, it's track for the past 4 months shows it in the North Sea, English Channel and US east coast only.

Nissan Motor Marine Carrier ships seem to only follow two routes from Japan to North America; north Pacific and Panama Canal to the East Coast.

In Florida, reserved Sept 2011; Ordered and confirmed 7/29/11. Estimated delivery did say 'month of November'. Last week (Sunday I think), it changed to 'week of November 1st' (YES!) I have a VIN and Carwings enabled.

Charging station was installed Friday -- just waiting on my car!

Looks like FL may beat VA by a week for Tier 2 -- !! still no update for me other than 'month of Novemeber' , did beat the price increase on the Schneider EVSE and it will be up and running this Friday so come on Nissan let's see an update for IL owners as well !!

Just to keep the thread alive as I saw one other post from a FL 'early adopter' that they expect delivery November 10th but this other listed November 1st --- still have not seen ANY for October and as we're mid way through the second week of October would assume that these will be the earliest we'll see MY '12 cars coming in -- still nothing for IL deliveries other than 'month of November' as of this morning. Local Chicago suburban paper (Daily Herald) had a front page blurb on EV's coming on Monday (requires subscription so no link) -- featured the Volt which I thought wasn't quite here yet but they quoted two dealers who say that they have them, also mentioned the LEAF but was kind of a slight as no dealers were mentioned, but at least they said you could test drive one in Chicago! At least we're getting closer as these great fall days pass by (we've had some perfect days here in Chicago -- can't last long enough) -- any other Tier 2 delivery info updates ?

Not seeing any ships en-route to JAX, I believe the first east coast deliveries could still come by train from Los Angeles. It would be nice to see an update in the next two weeks.

My 'week of' delivery estimate finally shifted from November 8th to November 7th. Just one day but at least somethings happening.

Has anyone received an update from "Month of..." to "Week of..." in the past few days?

Those with cars in the Courageous Ace that docked in JAX today, received such update around 9/25; that leads me to think the next batch of updates should come very soon as the Hoegh Trident should arrive to JAX in about 26 days.

There is a thread about tracking ships were we were made aware that that ship docked in Oppama about a month ago and a few days later some posters received their updates on the week of delivery. They received a VIN yesterday as the ship was docked in JAX. Just connecting the dots.

That ship is now on its way to Norfolk and NY. Maybe your car is in it and it will unload it tomorrow.

I have not received an update on the week of delivery yet, I had been assuming my car is in the Trident but I will have to wait and see. I hope the margin of variation in "month of december" does not mean it will arrive in the middle of december and be delivered in january... that would delay my tax credit by one year.

The way to know for sure is to check the 10th digit in the VIN, which corresponds to the model year. If it's a 2012, the 10th digit should be a 'C' (2011s are 'B').

And, it is true that the 2012s seem to be in the 15000s for their sequence number.
