Sort of related, in the light of recent hurricane on East Coast I was curious if any sort of flood safety measures are incorporated into the Leaf battery. Two issues come to mind: first is being electrocuted while in water next to a flooded Leaf, second is hydrogen produced from electrolysis can create an explosive mixture with air in closed spaces.

I don't know detail about first responder procedures, but the manual says in several spots that after disabling the high voltage battery one should wait for 10 minutes (for a capacitor to discharge) before beginning any first responder actions. My imagination starts to get the better of me there.
