Hi All,
I wanted to see if there was a removable SIM in the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) for my 2020 Leaf. I removed the TCU box by unplugging all of the wires and disconnected the lithium backup battery. After looking at the circuit board it seems that TCU uses a sealed cellular modem so no-go on removing the SIM. However, when re-plugging in the lithium backup battery and all of the connections, the radio, navigation, etc. no longer work. The backup camera view does work. I tried holding down the "on" knob for a minute to hard reset the navigation but no effect.
Have I fried the unit? Did removing the backup battery wipe the memory so it needs to be re-programmed? Is there some procedure to re-initialize the unit so navigation, radio, etc. work?
Thanks in advance for your help,
John
