I think our definitions of “restaurant quality” differ significantly, or perhaps I’m thinking of the wrong restaurants. Having used four different services including Blue Apron and HelloFresh, I don’t think any of the resulting meals approach the quality of a decent restaurant, and aren’t even in the running against a good restaurant. Also, my take on “decent” and “good” restaurants pretty much excludes all franchise chains though not all sub-brands. For example, I’ve really enjoyed meals at Darden Restaurants’ Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52 themed outlets, less so their Olive Garden and Eddie V’s brands. But that’s just me…not trying to trigger a holy war here.
