Radio tuner is crap

We're really disappointed by the (lack of) radio reception in our 2016 SV. This thing cant pull in stations easily tuned by out 2008 Yaris stock radio. AM seems particularly bad but FM struggles too. We get complete static for stations that come in really strong in our other vehicle.

Is this a known issue or should I have the dealer look at it?

The FM tuner seems as good as the one in my Honda.

Yup, if you never had this problem in your area before, like others have mentioned, it's dealer time! Probably unattached antenna.

I took my antenna off for a car wash and it still pulled all the stations. It must be more for satellite radio.

the base of the antenna has the sat antenna. The stick is for am/fm.
